Having been super-slapped for their continuous onslaught of "news" with "sources", it was looking like the WP was slowing it down a little.

Now they have a Trump-bash article about how Trump made up the initial response(s) when it was "reported" his Son met with "Russians".

The WP is getting smarter however.

This time they waited until deep in the article to reveal the usual "anonymous" sources that supposedly were "close to the situation".

They get credit for stamina but not for integrity.

Trump dictated son’s misleading statement on meeting with Russian lawyer

On the sidelines of the Group of 20 summit in Germany last month, President Trump’s advisers discussed how to respond to a new revelation that Trump’s oldest son had met with a Russian lawyer during the 2016 campaign — a disclosure the advisers knew carried political and potentially legal peril.

The strategy, the advisers agreed, should be for Donald Trump Jr. to release a statement to get ahead of the story. They wanted to be truthful, so their account couldn’t be repudiated later if the full details emerged.

But within hours, at the president’s direction, the plan changed.

... said one of the president’s advisers, who like most other people interviewed for this article spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive internal deliberations.

WAPO's reporting has been pretty accurate, all things considered. Not sure what the complaint here is, unless you're just trying to drive more traffic to WAPO.

Huh?
If it wasn't for Russia, the entire continent of Europe would be goose stepping and speaking German.
The EU wasn't founded until 1993....many of those countries were ally's to the USSR for many years.

Looks like the media triggered you again! Man they're good, you fall for it every time. Them making all these things up and lying to everyone is just part of their master plan to trigger Trump supporters (you know, the same strategy you and others believe Trump is using) and to cause more and more division between the people!

Good job on spreading their agenda xue, there's no one better at it than you.

ETA: Oh, and good job linking directly to the WaPo, I'm sure they appreciate that little extra ad revenue.

Serious question - do you think that the wapo is lying and making this up, or that they didn't vet the source properly and they're an unreliable source, or that anonymous sources should never be cited or trusted in journalism? I'm trying to understand why you would dismiss the article out of hand simply because it cites anonymous sources, or is it because they're reporting something you don't want to hear? Do you always vet articles based on their sourcing? For instance, did you use the same stringency on, I don't know, let's say Breitbart articles or FoxNews articles or [insert your goto conservative website here] articles when Obama was in office?

I guess their online clicks, and sales declined when they started leaving the garbage tabloid realm.

CNN is returning to it's Domestic Terrorist Anti-USA posture this week too.

Yeah ok. NATO was enacted right after WWII
And that's the relationship giving Europe it's strength.
The EU was an economic move not a strategic one.

It's people like the OP who have caused me to buy a subscription to WaPo. Before Trump and his Fake News crap I never subscribed to any news publication, but because of the Trumpkins' relentless assault on the free press I decided to chip in and support them. I really like WaPo's reporting. They are very clear about what is analysis, what is opinion, and what is factual reporting. It is labeled at the top of the article you are reading.

Trump should start a lawsuit for slander every time a hit piece comes up citing anonymous sources, since it can't be proven unless they disclose the source, they will have to settle every single time, easy money!!!

It doesn't work that way. Since it isn't illegal to post anonymous sources, Trump would be forced to prove the veracity of these claims being lies in court. The more he sues and it comes out the sources are real, the more likely that further lawsuits will just be thrown out of court.
