Hasn't it been only a few weeks since Trump's camp said they would start trying to discredit Mueller?
Looks like Santa's little helpers are back.

Actually, Mueller's conflicts of interest were pointed out by others, in addition to the Trump Administration way back in mid-June.

""Special Counsel Robert Mueller has a problem: He has a disqualifying conflict of interest regarding a large part of his work. It involves a choice between investigating or relying on former FBI director James Comey, a longtime close friend of Mueller’s.

Ideally, he’ll recognize that and resign. But if he doesn’t resign, Attorney General Jeff Sessions should appoint another special counsel to take over the obstruction-of-justice part of the investigation, where Mueller is disqualified.""

www.usatoday.com...

I can see why a LOT of smart people outside the D.C. sewer are unhappy with Jeff Sessions for not taking a more proactive role with the investigation. It is wasting a ton of taxpayer resources.

This story claims Wikileaks is going after the Special Counsil Robert Mueller.

A Tweet says Mueller actually hand delivered some Uranium samples to Russia !!

It was back in 2009 supposedly.

Right in the middle of whatever.

The "article" steers in the direction of Trump getting desperate.

WikiLeaks is now attacking Robert Mueller too

Special Counsel Robert Mueller must be getting close to something because Trump is freaking out, and even the thinly veiled Russian intelligence operation WikiLeaks is attacking him.

They posted this tweet that apparently shows him passing enriched uranium to…. the ROOSKIES!!!

Because, as we well know already, Trump is a genius for being friendly to the Russians, but if anyone we don’t like interacts with them, they’re traitors.

However, as it turns out, there were no nefarious acts afoot and there was a perfectly reasonable explanation for his handing off ten ounces of uranium to Putin.

Hmmmm

bigger question is why is the russian backed wikileaks trying to besmirch mueller when investigating trump over russian links?

its as if wikileaks and their russian paymasters were trying to avert attention.

it would be easy, and correct to call trump supporters simple minded but would it be correct to call someone pushing an obvious agenda a paid shill?

2. (S/NF) Background: Over two years ago Russia requested a ten-gram sample of highly enriched uranium (HEU) seized in early 2006 in Georgia during a nuclear smuggling sting operation involving one Russian national and several Georgian accomplices. The seized HEU was transferred to U.S. custody and is being held at a secure DOE facility. In response to the Russian request, the Georgian Government authorised the United States to share a sample of the material with the Russians for forensic analysis.

That’s actually in the document they provided in the link, but it doesn’t matter because people just go with whatever the tweet says instead of taking more than 5 seconds to investigate.

It's good to see Wikileaks made fun of now and then. Lord knows Wikileaks deserves it.

Thank you for this. I was completely unaware.

What some call "besmirching", others call shining a light on Mueller's conflicts of interest.

They don't emphasise it at all.

In fact the right wing sites like Intellihub are the ones emphasising Hilary..

Hillary Clinton requested FBI Dir. Mueller deliver highly enriched uranium to the Russians in 2009 in secret ‘plane-side tarmac meeting’

FBI is domestic.

Why would Robert Mueller as FBI director be the one to deliver the uranium to Moscow?

The FBI do international operations, especially counter terrorism...smuggling stolen uranium is up there in regards to terrorism, wouldn't you say?

How did your favourite Russia manage to lose it in the first place?

This is not the first time I have heard of this incident. The "uranium" in question was part of a siezure of uranium and a small testing sample was delivered to the proper Russian authorities so they could determine where exactly it came from. Radio isotopes have a very distinct signature and depending on where they are produced, they leave a sign.

This is why we have nuclear sniffers airborne so that in the event of a nuclear incident, that the signature can be traced and the determination can then be made on who used the nuke. I am no fan of Clinton nor do I like the way Mr Mueller has headed, but this is a fake news story and the truth is what we need to be dealing with, not making stuff up.

This is a non story and is exactly the kind of incident that we should use to show why we need to talk with the Russians and everybody else in the world as cooperating can yield results of benefit to both countries.

Reminder of what?

The uranium exchange was legitimate.

If you only read the snippet, then you will find it suspicious, which is the point of showing just that snippet, because it's all most people will bother to read.

Hence why I state Wikileaks are being misleading.

Which is precisely why anyone who holds up wikileaks as some bastion of honesty is deluded. They clearly have an agenda and aren't just about "getting the info out in the open."

Of course, I'd expect no less of the crowd that voraciously consumed Pizza Gate, then took the resulting mantra (fake news) and applied it to every legitimate news outlet in the world.

You might have included the relevant bit:

What exactly is WikiLeaks trying to point out or are they playing at a similar game as you? Hoping that by providing people with partial information up front, they will draw unreasoned conclusions and not bother to follow the link?

for the sake of not fogging the waters, I wish people would stop using that incident as an example of anything nefarious

I hope people will quote this on every page, so far I see several ignoring it but there's the lurkers to consider. Logic should now dictate that WikiLeaks has lost whatever credibility and power it had.

In case anyone doesn't understand... the handing off of the Uranium was completely legit.
