You said we wouldn't stand by those people. I have made a liar out of you by saying that I would stand by them if they are able to serve. If they need medication for say diabetes and they still can serve I would stand by them.

I wasn't talking to you. Made a liar out of you.

Ok who wouldn't stand by those people?
I'll wait.

There's only one thing that matters, can they do the job? If so, there's no argument that can be made against it that means a damn to me.

That's the main issue. With the prevalence of suicide and substance abuse among transfolk, it is just as risky if not more risky to allow them in over say someone with chronic arthritis or irritable bowel syndrome.

If you're a distraction to everyone else, you're not able to serve your country properly. That's why bipolar people and such are discharged if they're able to make it in without such a condition being detected.

4 questions. Congrats.

Therapy for transfolk is expensive. Surgery even more expensive.

The study by the RAND Corporation estimated that 2,450 of the 1.2 million active-duty members of the military are transgender, and that every year around 65 will seek to transition to the other gender.

The RAND study said that if the Pentagon did not cover the medical procedures for service members — like hormone therapy and surgery — they would likely avoid seeking medical care and would have higher rates of substances abuse and suicide.

Paying for the procedures would cost the Pentagon between $2.9 million to $4.2 million a year, the report said. By comparison, the Pentagon each year spends $6 billion of its $610 billion budget on medical costs for active-duty service members.

Well, there's that percentage again.

Paying for the procedures for 65 people, according to this study, will cost $2.9 million to $4.2 million a year. That's not cheap.

Study Finds Few Obstacles to Lifting Military’s Transgender Ban

That's liberals for you, more than happy to spend your tax dollars on men wanting to chop their pecker off and get breast implants instead of using it on infrastructure and education.

How's the virtue signaling going in here?

Still the same SJW's foaming at the mouth over this nonsense while ignoring all the countless other disqualifications from military service like sleep walking and ADHD?

Are you going to say that to the transgender people who are already serving in the military who are able to do their job?

You have like 100 posts on transgenders in the military.

Yet I can't find a single post about all the others with issues like ADHD who are locked out of the military.

Virtue signaling at its finest.

And ya, I'd happily tell a transgendered if they can serve, so should someone with ADHD. But you think otherwise. Happily trotting along while numerous others can't serve.

If they can serve then let them silly boy.
"Virtue signalling" my ass.

Everyone has something about themselves determined by the genes that determine sex and all other attributes that they wish were different. No matter how much I'd like to be a bit taller, more muscular, better looking,or whatever. I don't expect society to consider me a 6' 4" potential NFL linebacker and treat me as such. I deal with the genetic hand I was dealt good and bad. The vast majority of humanity does, and does not expect the rest of the world to participate in a dellusion that they are something they are not. Sex and gender might not be the same thing, but it would not be incorrect to interchange them as synonyms for most people. I was largely quiet on gay marriage not because I believe in it, but because it largely did not impact me. Forcing me to participate in your delusion by referring to you as what gender you feel like today rather than what sex you are, is an imposition I'm not willing to tolerate.

They also tell ugly fat girls that they're beautiful and attractive.

Priceless.

And true. Do you find it attractive when you see a fatroll walking down the street stuffing her face? Of course you don't. Very few people do.

What's the matter, LSU ... you don't want to play one-on-one? Didn't your momma ever tell you that it's impolite to talk about someone in the room?

You've got nothing of substance here. The only thing you've said that's factual and slightly relevant is that you think you're better than trans Americans. Anything else?

What did any of that have to do with my post about a bondage fantasy with Tomi Lahren?

You have issues, man.

I'm no saint, and it's different when people throw the first stone (my favorite: "vaping is bad for you," said the severely obese man in his early 40's) - but honestly?

Because it's wrong to tell people they're beautiful.

What a cold, and cruel world you must live in to see such an act of kindness as something to be scorned.

Do you find fat ugly girls beautiful and attractive? Don't come down on me for slamming the truth on the table... I'm no prize, and I don't need someone telling me that I'm beautiful and attractive.

If I'm scorning anyone here, it's those people who get those girls' hopes up... I'd never call them fat or ugly to their face, but I also wouldn't lie and tell them how beautiful they are. I'd expect no less from others regarding myself...

OY, people, let's discuss the issue, or pretend to?

I have no problem with allowing transgenders to serve in the military.

I've lived and worked around them for much of my working life, they are as capable or not as anyone else, and deserve to be judged on that alone, nothing else.

Oddly enough, given his otherwise staunchly conservative views on military matters, my late father had no issue with homosexuals serving in the military, nor with transgenders. This topic actually came up, not sure how, in one of our many chats over the years. "As long as they're good soldiers who have my back when the time comes, they're as welcome as any in my foxhole."

Gays serve. Women serve. Soldiers missing limbs serve. Everyone who can pass the physical requirements for service should be able to, regardless of whether or not their tackle is original equipment.

If they can do the job, and want to do the job, let them do the job.

Well said.

Trump is just stupid..

He is gonna get screwed for this hard...

A lot of people backed trump because he was FOR TRANSGENDER BATHROOMS!!

It was a sign he wasn't interested in the social issues and might actually help improve the GOPs problems with that portion of the pop.

Safety and strength is more important, and transgenders are too much of a distraction.

You're distracted by transwomen?

When abnormal people make it a point to let you know they're not normal, it's a distraction. How many of our muslim friends in the middle east are going to go to battle next to what they consider to be an abomination best dealt with by death? You can twist this all day to make it fit into your agenda that we're hateful, but I'm telling you the facts.

No it was the alt-right and far right Christians who made it a point to let you know.

I didn't hear about it until they wanted tax payers to pay for their surgery.

People always make that claim.

I can't imagine why.

Me either. I have no idea why people always make claims without evidence.

Yet I bet you wallow in Russian conspiracies all day.

Why yes, I do think they should be able to serve, if those conditions can be controlled to an extent that they pose no danger to their fellow soldiers.

Sleepwalking might be a tad bit problematic...

Better?
