Men commit suicide more frequently than women. I think we should ban men from the military. Too risky.

How many men come back from tours of duty with depression, anxiety and other mental problems?

If you think men shouldn't be in the military for those reasons, surely you would say the same with groups with an even higher rate of suicide.

Menstruation is a natural process of the female gender, choosing to have your genitalia mutilated and render most often than not unserviceable is not..

You need to get some basic classes on how thing works including the human body.

Look.

1) A lot of transgender people don't have resassignment surgery anyway.

2) When they do have that surgery, it is not 'mutilation' as you so politely put it.

3) The surgery is very successful at creating fully functional organs. Not 'unserviceable' as you so politely put it.

4) Why are so many of you so obsessed with Trans peoples genitals anyway?

5) You need to get some basic classes on how Transgenderism works, including the surgeries.

Everyone IS the same in the military with the right leadership. Black, white, asian, muslim, jewish, christian, atheist, gay, trans, male, female. Same.

If has already taken place before they joined and they can get through basic and AIT then good for them. The one thing I think could influence that is if they plan to continue hormone therapy, but that is a medical issue I am not qualified to speak on.

Like I said, if they are willing and able, let them serve.

I have no problem with that.

I remember when I first heard that the military was being pressured to pay for gender surgery and I thought it had to be a joke, because it is about being combat ready. I had seen soldiers get article 15s for tattoos and sunburns I thought it was crazy that the military was even considering doing elective surgeries and taking people out of the field.

So what happens to these soldiers with PTSD? Do we let them go on more tours of duty once they are diagnosed?

LOL, no, they are removed from service and get the help they need at the Military's expense. Starting to see a glimpse of the bigger picture yet?

Odd that this is the most talked about topic this morning among other legitimate real world topics.

What color wallpaper are we arguing over today? Meanwhile the house is burning down.

Yeah it's all about hair bows and mascara .
Our military doesn't have different uniforms for men and women. There are no Wacs or Waves anymore and women aren't going in to be Clara Bartons.
You are hopelessly archaic in your thinking.
I know quite a few women who fought in the dessert and lead men.

Not all the uniforms are the same - gender neutral uniforms have still not been fully implemented.
Its not all about uniforms anyway.
More about stupid demands for medical bills for sex changes and of course the ridiculous new 'training' that was to be forced on military personal to 'understand' their transgender colleagues. It's a nonsense that has thankfully been shut down.

thehill.com...

Common sense prevails over pc lunacy.

It's not about what's best for the military... IT'S ALL ABOUT ME ME ME!!!

I want boobs and a vagina and you're paying for it, you're paying to train and feed me, you're paying me for my time in the service, and I want my GI Bill. I dont care if I expect more in "dues" than anyone else in the history of the service, I want my sex change operation and that's that.

You're going to hand out free boobs & vaginas, and you're going to love doing it. Or else we RIOT!!!!!!!

This is some movement by the socialists, what ever happened putting what's best for the many before the needs of a few individuals?!?!

.

I'm just HERE to see how ATS members defend and applaud treating other Americans as second class citizens...

And indeed how many hard working men and women in uniform serving their country has Trump just fired for no good reason?

ATS applauding people getting fired for no good reason now?

Sure. If you're gonna ban all trans because they might be more prone to suicide, then you need to ban all men because they are more prone to suicide.

Or, you could give trans people the same mental health check you give everyone else, and if they pass, they're in.

The ban was lifted,
Pentagon lifts trans military ban ‘effective immediately’

Currently there are 1000s of transgender men and women serving in the US military.

He absolutely can deny gays the ability to serve. You could get kicked out for being gay prior to obama.

Jaden

P.s. he'll when I joined the corps, I had to sign a document saying I wasn't gay. The potus pretty much had care Blanche control over military.

So by this you mean Transgender people are more likely to expose government corruption in the form of murdering innocent civilians? So Trans people are less likely to be good little obedient sheep and willfully complicit in covering up said murders? Not sure that makes a negative case against Trans folk if that's what your saying.

Cool, so if a trans suffers from PTSD, they get the same treatment. But if they aren't found to have PTSD????

Bigger picture indeed.

Jaden, get with the program. Nobody is talking about gays. Trump has NOT threatened to ban gays or bisexuals from the armed services. This ban is only about transgender folks.

Hit the nail on the head again. Trump is literally just continuing to act as the greatest troll in history as a means of distraction.

All that data from social media being collected and analyzed is serving its purpose well.

As a gay individual, I was taken back by the news. But now, Im thinking about it more in depth. I would never want to see my Transgender brothers and sisters fight for a country that doesn't respect them. So, I can't say I'm mad at this as much as I should.
