Trump moved Cook with his Made In America Week. Cook to build 3 plants in the US after decades of transporting jobs from the US to China. Trump is a real man's man. Trump is the real deal. Like it or not, he is the president of the people, for the people, by the people. Bravo and great job!

President Trump says he’s finally gotten somewhere in his years-long crusade to get Apple to build more products in the US. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal today, Trump said that Apple CEO Tim Cook called him and committed to build “three big plants, beautiful plants” in the United States.

If Trump were all those things, no one would need any convincing. Or threads talking about how amazing he is.

Food for thought.

Apple will only build here if they are guaranteed they can bring in enough foreigners in to work it and if Trump will give them a tax break.
Tim Cook says Apple is investing $1 billion in US manufacturing

An investment in domestic manufacturing could be a way for Apple to win favors in Washington, especially on controversial topics like immigration. The flow of foreign tech workers to the US is a contentious issue at hand, as the Trump administration has started looking at reforming visa programs, like the H-1B, favored by Silicon Valley companies. Apple could also be trying to coax Trump into following through on his promise to help corporations repatriate overseas earnings.

More foreign workers and less money for America. Real great job.

Like it or not, he is the president of the people, for the people, by the people.

And some people are actually stupid enough to believe that. SAD

The vast majority of H1B workers eventually become American citizens. They are the most productive crop. Working for their living standards. Not like some who live off welfare paid by the rich.

So...which category are these foreign H1B workers? Middle class or poor?

What about those Carrier jobs that Trump saved? How are those going today?

The blue collar ones are lower middle class. The white collar ones are upper middle class.

This thread is really more of a reminder than anything else.

If what I read today is to be believed he hasn't done anything for those folks over at Carrier he promised...people are losing their jobs.

And then there's the boy scout jamboree, nope, never gonna be convinced, then again it doesn't matter too much to me as I don't live in the States, equally really hope we don't start doing more trade...don't fancy chlorination chicken.

As you were.

You aint seen nothin yet! Just wait until the Tax rates are slashed and the infrastructure enhancement program kicks in. The only people who won't be able to earn a good living will be those who chose not to work, or can't, due to a severe illness.

H1-B workers are attractive to companies because they aren't paid any benefits. A typical IT H1-B worker makes about 85K per year. I became aware of this from researching companies in Atlanta that hire exclusively, H1-B in favor of US IT workers.

Its disgusting when US workers are groveling for any job they can find when H!-B workers come here and are given instant middle-class status.

You may want to learn what flip-flopping is before saying someone else is doing it. I am against foreigners being imported into America doing jobs that are Americans can do just so some rich ahole can make more money.

I don't care if they eventually do become citizens they are still foreigners. What happened to Trump's America first I guess America but not Americans.
