'Fake news'? Then blame the dems. They're the ones who said we'll read it after we pass it.

Well, I heard that the vote happened and the Bill passed, with Pence breaking the tie. My question is, those 50 Senators who voted "AYE", did they finally find out what was in the Bill they voted for? Because of last night, none of them did.

Democrats didn't even know what was in Obama Care and they voted for it.

If that statement is based on the quote from Pelosi, it would be incorrect.

So they did know what was in that monstrosity when they passed it?

Either way....

Of course they knew what was in it. And whether or not it's a monstrosity is up for debate.

What is debatable is whether they knew what was in it.
It is 2,300 pages. I doubt that the any of the individuals that had hands in writing the bill actually know what all is in it.
Washington Times
That it is a monstrosity is confirmed by definition: large and unsightly.

NO.

It was you NEED TO PASS IT to "see" (find out) what BENEFITS once implemented it will have.

FFS. Seriously.

O'Care had ZERO republican votes. Whatever happened up to that point is irrelevant. No republican was stupid enough to vote for that bill.

Let us not forget John Gruber pointing out that Obamacare was written in a "tortured way" so that the CBO wouldn't call it a tax (ignoring the Democrats then argued it was a tax before Scotus) score even when it wasn't true. He called people voting for it stupid.

You guys can't dig your way out of this one...

John McCain also came into town to vote on two other important bills that are important to him.

One has to do with Russian sanctions and the other is a related to the US Military.

That is your own opinion. One that is debatable.

They all voted NO...

Was one of those "benefits" the ability to bankrupt the entire exchange, resulting in premiums (for those paying) to skyrocket over 300%?

No thanks, I can do without those type of benefits.

Here is a good article from Slate regarding those amendments...

Republican Amendments to O'Care

The take away... a lot of the amendments were technical in nature and an attempt to correct some of the failings of the bill.

My issue is that the Republicans leadership controls all three branches of government. We can pass whatever the heck we want at this point.

We need to be going big. Swing for the fences. We need some groundbreaking YUGE legislation. Disbanding the IRS. Pushing a significant flat/fair tax. Get the libs on record opposing getting rid of the IRS. The republicans need to be ramming all kinds of sh*t through. We didn't vote for them to play nice with the left.

The issue is that the Republican leadership is not all that conservative, nor do they have the best interests of the people at heart. They care about their jobs and lobbyists just as much as the left. Trump exposed them during the primary and he is exposing them now by showing they won't do anything.

I completely agree. The issue comes down to pork spending, in my opinion. Some of the Senators wanted to add their pork into it. That's how Washington usually works. It's like dealing with a bratty kid.

"I WON'T GO WITH YOU UNLESS I GET ICE CREAM TOO!!!!!"

Grow up folks in Washington, grow up.

Oh, and here is Nancy explaining passing Obummer Care...

Ah, but the "savings" of shoving 20+ MILLION people off of insurance and killing the ACA, is NOT GOING TO PAY OFF DEBT but rather to OFFSET A TAX CUT FOR THE RICHEST 1%!!!!!!

ARRRRRGH! Pay Attention.
