Snopes might shut down.

Snopes was good for urban legends and the like, but their political fact checking left much to be desired as their analyses was often rudimentary at best.

It really is not surprising that the site is faltering. The owner dumped his wife and ran off with porn star, Erin O'brien.

What's the matter? The politicians that paid them to lie are too busy worrying about email revelations to continue, as they need the funds for their own cases? Disney decided they weren't believable enough to continue? Draining the swamp has removed some of their disinformation sources?

Obviously I was not the only one thinking that FACTS and OPINIONS are two different things. And the snopes people are not doing a very good job if they come across as having a certain set of opinions...

They lie. On a couple of non-political matters, such as Disney and other cartoons, their own evidence, in cases they claimed were "false" proved they were true. They simply LIE.

In cases where it's clearly true, they also have had a way of rewording things, in such a fashion that they can claim "unsure" or whatever, instead of admitting the facts. When confronted with their own evidence, they act like they don't know what you are talking about. The political bias is very clear, if you spend any time reviewing that section. They claim a research staff, but it's basically a husband and wife team. They just aren't credible.

I clarified with stating opinion of a site.
It's nice to see this is what I am reduced to debating here nowadays....can't even make a statement without being told you said something else.

Anyhow, BIG thanks to the OP and every else for letting people know they need help!
It is my opinion it is a good site, with faults here and there, but meah which one doesn't.

I was polite in my reply to you, I see no reason for you to be upset. And why are you complaining about discussing this? YOU chose to post in an open thread on a DISCUSSION forum, someone replying to you should not come as a great surprise. Also YOU were the one using the word "haters" in your post, and that is rather aggressive, isn't it? I think you should calm down quite a bit.

Maybe you just should have been more clear in your post, I was not the only one reading it as you supported snopes for their opinions.
