Not as silly as a magic being that created everything yet he could only spread his message to the middle east region of the globe. Meanwhile over 3000+ other gods were created before him spread all over it

As the Hulk would say puny god.

Have you ever searched for yourself, instead of basing all of what you think it "may" be on other peoples experiences? I mean really searched for your own curiosity only? You may be amazed to find something you didn't expect. You have to be honest about your search though.

What search for a fairy tale MAN created god(s) thousands of them because they could not understand the world around them.

It really is as simple as that.

They understood that someone's up there in space, and they were 100% right.

I think that everything began with a thought or an original intent, but even from an emergent perspective, if the universe is composed of information at the most fundamental level, then there's been plenty of time for it to have become self aware.

God's thoughts are as far above our own as the stars are above the earth. (somewhere in the Bible)

To be is to be perceived. (maxim of modern quantum physics).

It's CGI, it MAY look like they think it does based on the numbers in the machines they use to collect the data.

Fricken sorcery.

They said that about Galileo too.

Yeah, but the bottom line for rebutting 'toysforadults' unknowledgable argument is that the image is not a CGI representation of data "based on the numbers in the machines they use to collect the data."

The stars we can see in the OP's image are based on the actual light from the actual stars failing upon a light-sensitive sensor in the telescope's digital camera.

It is (for the sake of this argument) just like if the actual light from the stars were falling upon a light-sensitive film if the telescope instead had a film camera. Would 'toysforadults' call a film camera's image CGI?

NO what they thought was what makes the sun, moon, rain, thunder etc etc work, the solution gods.

For example Chinese blamed a sky dragon for the eclipse so do you think its a sky dragon please say you do.

It really is that simple.

True. There are native American tribes who say that stone arches (such as those seen in the deserts of Utah) are rainbows that the Gods had turned to stone.

This just goes to show that ancient and/or native legends should not necessarily be taken at face value.

As for ancient peoples' belief that other beings lived among the stars, it could have been an "assumption" rather than an "understanding". I mean, you look up into the sky, see a "place" (the place being the night sky), and think that someone else could live in that place.

It seems to be a natural assumption for a person to make (even ancient persons), and requires no specific knowledge of actual beings that do live there.
