U.S. Senator and professional pseudo-scholar, Elizabeth Warren is at it again.

She was talking about the "foreign" money donations to American candidates and how bad it is.

In the meantime, she went to a fundraising party at somebody's house that has been involved in the very thing she was "oh-so-concerned" about.

!| Hypocrite |!

And she's sooo "Scholarly" too !

What a phony she is.

Hypocrisy Alert: Warren Calls for More Transparency for Foreign Donations to Campaigns

Warren attended a fundraiser over the weekend at the home of former Wall Street executive whose company is responsible “for the greatest amount of known foreign-connected money in U.S. elections.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) called for more transparency around campaign fundraising, specifically foreign money, that might be influencing American elections during a Senate Democratic Policy and Communications Committee hearing on the influence of foreign money on U.S. elections on Wednesday.

However, Warren spent the weekend at a fundraiser hosted by a former Wall Street executive whose former company was “responsible for the greatest amount of known foreign-connected money in U.S. elections” during the 2016 election.

“People are frustrated with our government. Washington ought to work for working families, and instead it works for the wealthy and well-connected,” Warren said. “That’s our problem, how do we solve it? Transparency is not going to solve it all by its self, but at least it’s a first step.”

Warren proceeded to ask the people testifying before the committee about “how effective the current law is at making sure the public knows who’s funding efforts to influence our elections?”

Funny that, why is it an issue only now, why was such a law passed 30 -40 years ago?

Did no one within the govt and their hundreds of their expert advisors not think of this before.

Dunno why but something causes me to think someone has some self serving interest agenda here.

As usual - a source with shady funding and agenda. A piece with no facts only hearsay.

ILF refuses to identify its funders. In a January 7, 2010 article in the Washington Post, the group was cited as an example of an organization trying to influence the health reform debate, whose funding has grown exponentially, but that refuses to disclose where its money comes from. The article says,

The Institute for Liberty, for example, was a one-man conservative interest group with a Virginia post office box and less than $25,000 in revenue in 2008. Now, the organization has a Web site, a downtown Washington office and a $1 million advocacy campaign opposing President Obama's health-care plans. Andrew Langer, the group's president, said the organization receives no funding from health-care firms but declined to provide details. "This year has been really serendipitous for us," he said. "But we don't talk about specific donors."[3]
