This is awful... Ta linda his wife was family. I feel sorry for her and those left behind. She was my X's niece. There will be chaos in the family tonight and for a few days. I liked Chester, he was easy to like. My X's Daughter always went on tour with them, as their Nanny. This is Sad, with many affected. He was the same age as my Son. I saw him at family gatherings without pretense. www.youtube.com... There was something in this work of his I don't think he ever really escaped. I do know Ta linda adored him, and he adored her. I hadn't seen either one for several years now and am just shocked and silent. Rest in the Bosom of the Lord Chester, may your demons fade to dust. RIP...

That is an ignorant statement that undermines what depression really is, and apparently you know very little about it.

I'd suggest you look more into it.

Depression, is what his kids are feeling.

Like I said, you don't know what depression (as a mental health condition) really is.

Thanks for proving my point with that statement.

Also, what's with everyone hanging themselves? Like Robin Willams, and that guy from Kung fu? Chris also died from suicide by hanging right after his performance. Odd similarities if you ask me.

Technically, Carradine didn't hang himself.
"Auto-erotic Asphyxiation" I think its called. Total accident.
Now that is tragic.

I wonder ... was it really suicide, or an 'accident', like auto-erotic asphyxia?

I understand he had issues with depression, but leaving that many kids behind, and he had a lot for which to stay alive.

I love Linkin Park. Damn. One of my favorite bands. I am quite sad to hear this.

This is F*7%5d!
I grew up on LP, they just realeased a new Album even.
WTF.
I've seen Lp like 8 times now. The most amazing show was the Family Values tour.
Chester and Weiland on stage together, # makes me want to tear for real.
Best memories of my life were set to Linkin Park as the sound track.
Heck even staying up wasted watching Dragonball z music videos set to LP.
I cant believe this.

One of the most amazing things LP did was let you download the live audio recording from the concerts went to.

Man this messed. And like, dude just spoke at his buddies funeral back in may.
Him and Chris Cornell were good friends, and Chester addressed suicide at his funeral.
Now this.
Fricken unbelievable

Did you even read the article? He was abused as a child. Which was the cause of his suicidal thoughts.

If anything this shows that not even fame and fortune can heal all wounds.

It's possible, but he could have been having problems with his family. Due to his drug abuse and he himself being abused as a child.

So sympathy for a sex act and yet nothing but vitriol for someone who suffers real pain.

You need to do some serious reflection and thinking. You know nothing about depression and that is reflected in your other post about the kids feeling depression.

I never saw that show live but I used to have the DVD i watched it many times and it reminds of those days. That was a different world and it wasn't that long ago.

One of his best songs.
This one demonstrates the range in his voice during his solo.
Man...I can't believe this.

I don't know if it's the medication. I got a tooth pulled on my bday yesterday.
But the tears are kickin in watching this one.

I would agree with this. The only reason people associate fame/money to suicides is because he public actually hears about it when a famous person off themselves. When John Q. Public eats it, nobody on TMZ tweets about it and the internet doesn't magically become nostalgic for someone who was present less than 24 hours ago.

Never been a huge fan of his music, but still a tragic loss that hurts to see

Somehow, this song seems most fitting, sadly.

"Crawling in my skin, these wounds, they will not heal"

RIP Chester, I hope you are at peace now.

For those saying that he was a coward...I would imagine that it would take great courage to take one's own life. He was a wonderful vocalist and talented man who will be missed. My sympathies to his family and friends.
Depression is an extremely serious issue that so many people deal with and lose their very lives over it. Those who were close to him will especially feel the sorrow and depth of this loss.
