I have no idea the validity of this but I came across a tweet talking about a vhs tape that was found to have very accurate predictions through the year 2025. I did a quick search on it and there is this video previewing it. It says to go to lost1993tape.com to learn more but it doesn't appear to be up yet. The video was uploaded yesterday (the preview that is) and what is shown, although very limited, seems highly accurate IF it is indeed from 1993.

Here is the twitter account that I saw: twitter.com...

Thoughts?

Total bunk.

Not going to the link to discover the whole story either.

thank you. First time posting a video here. What did I do wrong? I grabbed the link and hit the YouTube button when posting and pasted it there but that obviously didn't work.

Your vid link is broken, you only need to copy the numbers after the /.

Sound's very interesting. Love me a bit of weird, from the video though it sounds like how ATT envisioned the future.

EDIT - Unless that's the wrong video I found :/

Marketing/ Publicity stunt for upcoming show/movie?

Seems interesting whatever it is, fact OR fiction.

The link for the video is youtube.com/watch?v=HI7h9OzJv8M but all you need put in the ATS youtube box is the part highlighted.

It looks like pictures have been composited on top of the old video. Some giveaways: The pictures don't always align, the images are too sharp and the contrast is too high. Video cassette players would blur the video. Graphics cards for incar systems weren't 24-bit color.

And how do we know it is "accurate to the year 2025"?

'Cause it'd be impossible to fake a video and say it's from 1993.

I love how they crank the music up when he's talking so you can't hear him.'

Yawn

Always Intresting with some predictions..

BUT those fake effects to make it look like a old movie tape just ruins it for me.. or have they been added by someone else.

And I tried visiting the website.. but could not find any by that name

Interesting... It's hard, nowadays, to take things like this at face value....however, things like this intrigue me and once I see the whole thing, I'll doubt most or every bit of it, but I'll be sitting here on every given date. . .waiting. . .hoping.

I actually have an old CCD camera from the 80s lying around, and I've considered doing a "time traveler" tape filled with awesome predictions about the future. I figure I could pull it off if I had the right futuristic props, like a tablet that stretches out from between two tubes to create a screen. I think I can fake that one.

So if that pops up here someday, don't let on that it's me.

it's so fake. look a the poor green screen halo around him, and the amount of vhs noise is the worst i have ever seen on any vhs. I have vhs tapes from the 80s that have sellotape on and they don't look that bad.

They over done it.

Calling BS!

We have some VHS tapes from the 90's and none have any sound... It could just be the VCR, who knows.

Agreed. I have VHS-C and Betamax tapes going back to the early 80's that don't look nearly as bad as this. WAY overdone.
