This thread is a call for all the spiritual people in ATS, as well as the one that wants to see Civilization to survive in this planet to join in Prayer or meditation for the world peace in vespers of an event of masses in Jerusalem that represents a high risk to trigger a generalized conflict in the Holy land.

Unfortunately a movement that initially was created in solidarity with Palestinians prisoners on jails that have about 40 days in Hunger strike has been infiltrated by different Islamic extremist organizations that are willing to transform it in violent through terrorist actions, so easily it may go out of control, degenerating in chaos or tragedy.

It is expected to have possibly all the muslim population of Jerusalem meeting massively in the Dom or Rock square this Friday in what it is expected to be a massive public demonstration of protest that if it becomes violent can fire a terrible war on the Holy city as we have not seen since 1960s.

Let us pray to God almighty, the supreme intelligence that is behind all what exist, that the Palestinian leaders as well as the Israeli authorities do not fall in the game of violent confrontation that the terrorists are willing to push that day, to boost another Intifada.

All the mosques of Jerusalem will be that day close in order to let their members to go in to the main square of downtown Jerusalem to join the protests.

The thread is an invitation to pray or meditation that heals a situation that requires a lot of concord, of forgiveness from both sides, since if it becomes out of control could push humanity to an entire new chapter of the international conflicts, another one in a region that has been in turmoil, experiencing terrible blood baths, horrible tragedies of genocides and refugees, and political instability since 2014 when the Arab revolutions exploded all at once in Libya, Tunisia and Egypt.

Begging your flavor of "God" to intervene in the bad decisions of mankind is not how this works.

I believe in a supreme being, I'm a mason, I am human and have flaws. I refuse to pray/beg to my "God" to right the wrongs of my fellow man.

You say this from the comfort of your living room? I'm betting you're not in Jerusalem. Anyone that wishes for war has a life that's too good. I sure don't want to see all hell break loose in Jerusalem and I'm thousands of miles away. But, I've been there. You don't have to be religious to appreciate the history and what it means to a lot of people. I won't be joining the prayer lines but I do hope people keep their #e together.

Yup, we've f'ed up quite a bit over the years but we're still on the planet. Most religious folks aren't naturally violent. They get riled up by nutcases and it becomes a mob against another mob. I'll have to keep an eye on international news on Friday and see how this pans out.

Look I believe in prayer,I believe in God,I am certainly not full of demons but there isn't going to a war in Israel or a new intifadah,the Palestinians will get riled up,start a few riots and then life will go back to "normal" but coming on the internet and leading a prayer chain? what will that accomplish? sense of self righteousness or a false sense of power over something that doesn't take a gypsy woman and a crystal ball to figure out the inevitable outcome.

And here is how I defend praying for war,guess who will win that war? Israel plain and simple then maybe we will finally have some peace over there but probably not,the only way to ever achieve a lasting peace in the middle east is to let it burn it self down in fire of war and then when people have had enough blood and destruction they will all stfu and let peace finally take hold and the world we be able to move forward without that specter that has been present all of my life,or would you prefer to keep going with the same old cycle of Palestinian violence and heavy handed Israeli response.death death and more death,just do it like a bandaid and pull it off quick and be done.
