There is... Tomato sauce is pasty, and you would use it for spaghetti sauce. Ketchup is more sugary and more uniform in texture and used on hamburgers, hotdogs, eggs, etc... There's also a difference between Catsup and Ketchup, but I can't remember what it is offhand.

Depends which part of the engilsh speaking world your from for non americans tomato sauce is a differnt tasting verison of ketcep. What you yanks call tomato sauce I suspect we would call tomato paste.

Here in England we have Ketchup which goes on burgers etc and tomato purray (Spelling) for pastas and spagetti etc.

Who in the world could POSSIBLY have that information?

I'll choose Verizon. I HATE cingular because I can't call and speak to a human friggin being, even though their darn machines are too primitive to understand me.
