Looking at a couple of new things. My glasses have sucked for years. I see Lenscrafters has this computerized analysis. It's supposed to be superior. Anyone used this and is it worth the extra cost? Can't do lazick.

Secondly I've been looking into vaping. Not as a smoking cessation device but an alternative without the other chemicals.

Thoughts on either?

Glasses: I go to an optometrist that uses electronic devices in conjunction with standard lens-flipping to try and find the best prescription. Just get new glasses if it's been a while.

Vaping: You will look like a douche. That's all I have to say about that one.

My two cents...keep the change.

Vaping is way cheaper than smoking, depending on what you use. I get gallon jugs of plain liquid nicotine from lab supply stores for like $80. Last like 18 months.

It looks like some kind of Mod. He probably had it wired wrong.

Better to look like a douche than be broke and coughing your lungs out.

When I quit I used a vape for a couple weeks.

It was a cheap vape. Looked like a cig.

I smoked two packs a day. Quit cold turkey.

The vape helped big time. One day I quit the vape.

It was easy. Didn't want to trade a bad habit for another habit.

Smoked for a hunnert years. 2-3 packs a day
Started vaping 6 years ago. Never went back
Doctor sent the paperwork to the insurance company as Non-Tobacco user
And , the specialists (including the Oncologist) think that is a good thing
May well save your life
it did mine

ETA: Your blood pressure drops , your lungs clear. The lungs clearing is the worst part. After about 1 year , I got what I thought was a very bad case of bronchitis . Finally , went to the doctor. Doctor actually grinned. Diagnosis: lungs doing deep cleaning on their own
Peace

What happens when folks that dont know overclock their computers ? A lot of times they wind up with a fried brick
Folks look for that ultimate hit. To impress others with the sheer amount of vape their mod produces
They alter the battery . They alter the cart.
Too many gurus on youtube . And too many newbs looking to be # 1
And vaping could do without folks' scare tactics.
Its about 1 out of a million . And usually that one was playin stupid
Leave the massive smoke ring production to the veterans

As opposed to, say, slowly dying of throat or lung cancer?

Why switch from smoking to vaping, why not just quit?

Honest question.

No, but I think you should try rose-coloured glasses for a change.

Do what you need to to quit smoking. It's a nasty habit that carried off my grandfather and my husband's grandfather. It'll carry you off too if you don't get a handle on it.

You sound smart. Do whatever it takes to help your eyes and your lungs etc. If vaping helps-do it. Igrnore everyone-do what you think will work for you-it doesn't matter what you look like-unless you're dead.
