Hillary or Trump or Jeb or Bernie or the Stay Puft Marshmallow man, I don't care. The point isn't who is there as the token figure head. That person is reviled regardless. It's the puppet masters behind the scenes that matter.

Wrong, it does matter.

If Hillary the faint was elected, they could get into into all sorts of battles and pissing matches.

Now, they are just flat footed and exposed. No plan, no leadership (other than TPTB) and no way to get anything done. The real leaders do not want a affordable usable plan for Americans. And they will do ANYTHING to stop it.

True, actually. Had Hillary won, it would have been different crazy hyperbolic rhetoric. But crazy hyperbolic rhetoric it still would have been...

Both candidates were equally as reviled, so it's hard to say whether Hillary would have had any more success than we currently have.

"strangers" stop caring when it is $5,000 for chemo (in the US) one time, plus administering it.

Our system is going to collapse if the clowns we elect do mot get this done.

khn.org...

Yes, we've reached a point in which strangers can and do care.

Is this the result of the failed policies in Gov?

Do you think success is something that is the goal?

Hillary would have fit the repubs (lazy assed approach). THEY HAVE NO PLAN. And they could have had the pleasant banter with Hillary. The repubs could have claimed "she is a leftist" and Hillary could say "they are pro life conservatives". It would have worked out so well, the charade would have been so easy.

The Repubs lost a bluff, they wanted the chance to repeal and they aint got the gonads.

Are we disagreeing or agreeing? I'm not sure at this point...

They will not fix it because they are being paid not to. Being "good" or "bad" does not enter into the equation. The lobbying is what matters. And don't forget the jobs on the boards of huge corps after the congressmen "serve".

From the snap shot I see today, the only way this changes is when it crashes. The fact that the repubs can't even repeal the ACA is telling.

No, even if there is no lobbying or if there is.

It's power they want, and now they have it. They keep it by being elected and nothing else.

So there will never be any move to "fix" health care. Even if they go single payer, it will never work because then health care ceases to be an issue. There is no power in creating a working system, not for them.

This is a negotiating position but trump may be able to pull it off if they don't repeal. May, is the operative word.

Yet Obama could get it passed. He owns it as president he should be able to get his bill through. If he can't he doesn't deserve the office. You can argue they are against him but they were against Obama as well. What did he do he organized enough people in Congress to pass the bill. What has Trump done no lobbying effort other than to say he'd sign a bill.

He's been paying lip service to healthcare. Yes Obama care will fail it's all ready starting leaving millions without medical insurance and risking the health of many. Republicans had 7 yrs to plan and to say they don't own this is stupid.

Well said,

If the ACA collapses, it very well could have huge ramification to "regular" health care. Remember unintended consequences happen.

If the ACA was never a glimmer in Obama's eye, we would still be in deep deep poop. Our health care system is going to collapse.

Citizens United v FEC has ended any and all notions of elected officials working in the best interest of the American people. Keep in mind the ACA passed prior to any major elections following that ruling. Since that time, the congress has been incapable of passing any meaningful legislation. If you think that's a coincidence, you are sorely mistaken.

I'm a big fan of President Trump, but he is WRONG when he said today:

""And I think we're probably in that position where we'll let Obamacare fail. We're not going to own it. I'm not going to own it," Trump said. "I can tell you the Republicans are not going to own it. We'll let Obamacare fail and then the Democrats are going to come to us.""

Full Story: nation.foxnews.com...

The unAffordable Care Act may have President Obama's name attached to it, but the Captain of U.S.S. ObamaCare right now is President Trump.. and the Republican Majority in Congress are his Navigators.

U.S.S. ObamaCare is beyond "listing" in the ocean. It is now starting to SINK. The first to die will be the really sick people who will lose their health insurance on 12/31/2017.

Democrats and the Liberal Media will place the human carnage squarely on the backs of the Trump administration, and the Republican-led Congress. AND THEY WILL BE RIGHT...unfortunately. I think President Trump knows this. He shouldn't play a high-stakes game of "chicken" with Democrats, when American lives are at stake.

-CareWeMust

You couldn't be more wrong...Obamacare belongs to the Democrats...This is their baby...They knew it would fail...They wanted it to fail...They figured a Democrat would be the current President and they could slide right into 'single payer' due to the failure...

Thankfully there will be no single payer this time around...And you can blame Trump all you want for Obama and the Democrat's failure but it won't fly...This is their baby...

They tried to repeal and replace it. Did they not? That puts it squarely on the shoulders of those who don't want to repeal it.
And that's every single one of the Democrats in Congress...Every one of the Democrats wants to leave Obamacare alone...Why are they not thanking the President for his plan to do just that???

That's really nutso...The Democrats healthcare plan is collapsing...Yet they will not support the President in changing it to try to make it work...They want the President to support THEM and another failure of a plan instead...No, this belongs to the Democrats...

The US health care system is and was going to collapse, the ACA just moved us up a couple of years.

Our system is privatized socialism and it will fail due to costs.

Other countries use a tax payer based system and have managed to contain prices leading to lower costs and have better outcomes.

Hannity ripped the Republicans in his opening monologue tonight. He did a good job.Anyways,he showed a clip from a previous night with a dr. Josh Umbehr who operated a co-op where patients were paying $50 a month directly to them for coverage. So I looked him up and here is what he says:

www.theobjectivestandard.com...

I am still reading it,but I figured I might as well throw it against the wall and, well you know.

They are afraid of allowing people to have a choice.

I heard a little of Hannity's rant, he is still pushing medical savings accounts. Silly.

The service he is talking about seems ok. It plugs a very small hole.

It’s just an ugly thing when human beings just want to make others suffer.

This is just about helping people cope with this suffering inducing life.

This is not nuclear physics or anything apocalyptic—just basic decency and common sense the US should have got beyond just as the Europeans have done.

There is just a very downright evil patch of people in this country who don’t understand simple moral principles

Its kindergarten morality

I disagree with your "kindergarten morality." Kindergartners don't generally care about money. They would make everything free....that's because they have no concept of economic reality. Apparently, the Dems are indeed using a kindergarten mentality.... This whole issue is about money. It's about handing money over to bureaucrats, piles of them, to determine how we are to be provided health care. That puts about half a dozen people between a doctor and their patient. That is immoral.
