But really, what's the fuss with what DJTJ did?

So DJTJ got a random email from someone who says someone has dirt on Hillary, would you like to meet that person? DJTJ says sure, why not? Then met with that person and talked about adoption for 20 minutes. How is that different from this scenario? Some random hooker at a sex club in Moscow calls up DJTJ and says she has some dirt on Hillary, would you like to come see it? DJTJ goes there and meets with this hooker and talks about porn for 20 minutes. What's the big deal? I don't see anything interesting with either case.

Natalia was the crown prosecutor of Russia in the email. Emin was the Russian government in the email. Rod Goldstone gave them pet names. They are not what they were referred to as in the email.

There are a few things that make this a problem.

Firstly it was not disclosed, DTJ only released it to get ahead of the story.

It is also how the information came to be, if its a case that this information that this lawyer claims to have had on Hillary comes from illegal sources i.e. though espionage then thats also a problem.

Was money exchanged, if so then thats another problem.

The whole thing is very murky and on its own it might not be such a big deal but when we have all these investigations going on into the Russian interference of the election then this starts to look really bad.

Did he have to disclose it? I don't think so.

When there is a massive FBI and Congressional investigation going on regarding the possibility that Russia was meddling with the 2016 election then you either have to be a total moron not to disclose meeting with a Russian during the campaign or you were covering something up.

So its up to you, either DJT is a moron or he was trying to cover something up.

And yet the news media posts new from illegal sources on a daily basis (leaked national security information) and not a single democrat says anything...

There is nothing there...Has never been anything there...I and millions of others are sick of hearing about the Russian non story...

The meeting was in early June, before Russia appeared in the news.

if he didn't disclose it, your rhetoric would still be no russian meetings occurred, think about that for a second and think of the corner you're backing yourself into.

Even more reason to mention it as soon as the allegations of Russian collusion came about.

If he stood up right at the start and said " I want to be honest, this is a collection of my correspondence with Russians during the campaign" then fair enough.

but this only came out because he knew how damaging this was going when it came out in the press so he thought a he could control the damage by getting ahead of the story.

Nobody gives a damn if he met with a Russian hooker or not. The implication is meeting with an agent of the Russian government, and that is not the case.

As I recall reading, Kushner logged that he took the meeting when/right after it happened.
It was not considered important or noteworthy at the time.

It's amazing isn't it, here we are living amongst the biggest conspiracy theory in modern history, the real possibility that the Russians put their man in the White House, and half the users of a conspiracy theory website refuse to even listen to the possibility because they love Donald too much.

Yup its astounding.

I find it quite strange, because I am usually on the other side of it, arguing the opposite of the conspiracy theory yet in this instance I feel like the sides have been switched.

We have all the guys who used to call people like me "Sheeple" now toeing the government line and me "the paid shill" being the one arguing that there is some massive conspiracy at the very heart of government.

Strange how times change.

Can someone please tell me WHY...If Obama/Lynch KNEW the Russian chick was a Russian agent/spy, she was given official preferential treatment to stay/return to the country w/o a valid visa by Lynch?

Those who think Trump is a Russian agent might as well be agents of Putin themselves. Go ahead, that's what Putin wants. A civil war in the US. Democrats and Republicans fought a civil war. How about round two?

Double agent perhaps working for the 3 letters.

It really is strange, yes.

I mean we wake up this morning and live in a world where Trump Jnr has literally confessed, and literally provided evidence of his collusion with Russian sources in plotting illegal activities, and Trump supporters are still just 'Yeah, our man is the best! You lefty libtards suuuuck! Loooosers!'

It's like... the world is not a professional wrestling match. This stuff is important, and it matters, and Trump is going to try and get away with it because his supporters would cheer him no matter what he's doing because of the power of the cult of personality and advertising.

You see I find that astonishing.

I didn't collude with Russian agents to affect the outcome of an election, and yet you think ~I~ am the traitor?

I don't think that Donald Trump supporters refuse to entertain the possibility, We've been entertaining it since he landed in the white house. hell it's all that's talked about. At some point we need to get to the facts. If they have proof of collusion that links Trump to Russia let's have it lord knows enough time has passed that should be sufficient to have some REAL proof and If this meeting is the best proof of collusion, I don't see it. I say get to it already, if you wanna go after him on something so flimsy, then go for it. If not, can we just move on as a country?

Trump is an American citizen doing what is best for America. YOU, and many others, are helping Putin, a foreign adversary, to undermine the US. Who's the traitor?
