The moondrops beat down upon the field of orange flowers, rain drops that had captured the light of the moon in their pale orbs. The rain fell upon the man collapsed upon the flowers, the big drops quickly soaking through his thin and ragged clothing. His eyes fluttered and his feet drummed as he tried to break free of slumber but his fevered dreams had a tight hold on him and would not let go. Behind his eyelids, reflected in the thrashing orbs, was rushing his past. He remembered living in the castle with his father, always researching always experimenting. His father dying, filling the cold halls with dread and foreboding. Sleepless nights working through till dawn, for he raced against the same doom as did his father: the doom that all automatons faced with no one to repair them. The whole world had become a barren desert and after the death of their master and creator, an evil and vile little man who had sought to achieve immortality by way of transplanting his consciousness into a machine. His efforts had failed every time and after he passed away the father and son experimented with all kinds of concoctions in order to restore the broken and dry planet to its full glory. The final concoction that had caused the great field of flowers to bloom and spread into other nature beyond, had also caused the robot to go haywire. All around him in a circle travelling farther and farther outwards was an explosion of growth but he would never live to see it.

This deserves more attention. I have a passion for the poetic way in which you write, filled with emotion and imagery. You paint a story so beautifully with words.
