If America passes more sanctions, Germany and France will probably threaten to leave NATO unless America cancels sanctions. Russians are Europeans. Europeans always stick up for Europeans.

What ever that Russian lawyer left with them when she left. News about wiki leaks which the campaign sure seemed to have advanced notice of.
Someone knows what was in that package and Mueller will find out what and who.

We can still work with them. They just need to be made to understand that we won't put up with them interfering with our government or our electrical process and that they are not going to get away with bad behaviour.
Punishing doesn't mean we can't have a relationship. It sets necessary boundaries. Trump should realize this and take the upper hand.

Why won't he?

We're punishing them for Crimea for the Ukraine and most importantly for messing with our government and our elections.

I don't live anywhere near Russia so.....

And who said don't work together?

If you punish your kids for bad behaviour do you stop having a relationship with them.
( I realize for some unfortunates the answer there is yes... rough call and very sorry)

Punishing them let's them know their place, let's them know their boundaries and that you can't be pushed around or taken advantage of.

No. They rejected it because of sanctions with north Korea which is in the same bill.

Which they think are not strong enough.
And Bernie thinks Iran deserves a break because of a terrible Isis hit it took last week.

I totally concur with your post.

Why won't he, you ask? Ask the Republican held Congress, not Trump.

the concept is insane

Oh really, Russia is basically a country entirely lead by criminals (which must be why Trump likes them) and they do interfere in other countries (like we do). I only wish we were also sanctioning Saudi Arabia too.

That's not true. Russia has single payer. Russia has flat tax. Russia has a powerful military. Russia is far less corrupt than America.
