their perception is fake news?

is your perception fake new?

NO?

You mean you are the only one in all of the world who is NOT fake news, everyone else is?

WoW

That's not what I said, and misrepresenting what I did say doesn't help your case.

Personally, I've travelled through 61 countries, and out of all of them, America and Americans were near the top in terms of compassion, hospitality, and friendliness. The only people that were more hospitable were the Iranians.

Have you travelled anywhere?

No, i dont get to travel much, but its so insightful to know that you have and you know so much more than most and that the opinions of others are based off of fake news and yours is not.

But for some reason, im not inclined to talk to people who claim to know it all.

Good luck being the superstar in your group of like-minded friends

LOL

I guess academia really left you out in the cold and now you're bitter you have to pay off that loan? roflmao

Troll away......you might want to look in the mirror at how silly you are making yourself look! You certainly are not doing your political church a favor by youe immature and belligerent behavior to those who oppose your opinion?

I actually love talking to people with different thoughts and opinions, why else would a libby liberal post on a mostly alt-right message board.

However, when it comes to belligerence and ignorance...I tend to call it out then try and back out of the conversation bc i no longer want to converse with them anymore.

But they show their true colors when they think they are calling me out for being intolerant and not smart enough to come back or find a news article to back up my thoughts, lol

I'll provide a meme.

All in good fun.... OooooKaaaaaaay! Fair enough... you provide a meme while I provide the TRUTH! You mock one idiot who misspelled, "moron". Yet your squirrel avatar boasts a most POPULAR, WORLD-RENOWN AMERICAN MADE ICON of a character whose birthplace wasn't planet Krypton like I know you believe it to be, but good old Cleveland, Ohio, USA? History much?

Why not sport a world-renown iconic figure from your own country of Canada on your chest?

Don't have any of your own to be proud of, eh?

Since you are Canadian with all those grand Maple trees you may want a great lumber jack like Paul Bunyan, but wait! he too is a great ALL AMERICAN icon!

but even sporting an ALL AMERICAN MADE "S" on your chest from my great state you are ALWAYS LOYAL? eh? Hypocrite much?

Your avatar may want to change shirts because you have been found not worthy of wearing such a powerful symbol of AMERICA'S STRENGTH and RESILIENCE!

*BOOM!!!*

That meme is the mentality of many people in the US...some people are worse than that.

I thought it was funny (bc i know i am not one of them), sorry it "triggered" you so much.

It wasn't the meme so much as it was his avatar. Meme guy is some yokel from MO; not from my sophisticated state, so I couldn't care less. To be truthful I found it funny too. In a smh shameful way. Guy is representing the great 'show me state' by showing nothing but stupidity.

Ohioans are very proud of being the birthplace of, "The Man of Steel"(amongst other things and grand accomplishments) for a reason. We, Ohio, are in the iconic rust belt where steel mills were once thriving until the Great Chinese iron flood of mid 1980's/early 1990's slowly choked us out as world market players.

A hard working, educated state of good people who are proud of our locale, diligence, family values, world contributions to humanity and history.

The US has Mass shootings every other day and even with your boom boom sticks they all end with American cowering in a corner pissing there panties.

Look at the Orlando shooting.....how many hours did it take for that terrorist to put down?

UK it takes 20 minutes max not hours.

Or any of the country's in the world that are higher on the rankings in freedom and standard of living than the USA and UK (there's like 10 of them!).

A nation BUILT by immigrants now wants little to do with them, a nation demanding excellence in all is happy with mediocre in most, a nation of people who were friendly and kind or kept to themselves has evolved into a vocal people always wanting in others business and vocal about it.

What went wrong?

Most Americans aren't against immigration they are against people sneaking over the borders undocumented or over staying visas (illegal immigration). Sorry you are not intelligent enough to know the difference.

PS What happened to Europe? 100 years ago (hell, even 50 years ago) y'all would have nipped this terrorism thing in the bud. Now you're answer to any and all conflict is to just run away. I've lost all respect for Europeans. Y'all deserve everything you get for being so damn stupid and PC to the very obvious threats of mass Islamic immigration. You'd rather be killed than called a racist. Pathetic.

Well, Andres Brevik in Norway still holds the record for most victims of a mass shooting, so it's fairly obvious that it isn't just a US issue.

Actually, ...

The Superman character was co-created by Canadian artist Joseph Shuster. Born in Toronto, he is a cousin of Wayne Shuster, one-half of the beloved Canadian comedy duo Wayne and Shuster. Joseph, who passed away in 1992 at the age of 78, said Metropolis was modelled on Toronto and the Daily Planet was inspired by the Toronto Star, which he delivered as a kid. 10 fun facts about Superman’s Canadian ties

The OP thinks they are clever. This is just a Trump bash thread in disguise. The fact is they wanted people (lefties from Europe and elsewhere) to bash America because it elected Trump.. ( Not to say the US is perfect because it isnt, but pointing out legit non partisan imperfections wasnt the aim of this thread)

Dare I say this thread would never have been made if HIllary won or someone the OP supported. Id bet money on it.

Per capita the US isn't doing so bad, relatively speaking.

Hello. European here, from Romania.Cheers!

My views are my own alone, and i have no idea about how other Romanians would reply to your question. but i hope this is helpful enough.

*Trump changed my opinion to worse. the fact he got elected makes me think Americans simply care about the wrong things [stupid emails, Russian hackers] while supporting the wrong things [wars across the world, i'm not even sure if US supports IS or is fighting it,, because the news i read are contradictory, laws against birth control, to name a few.] I believe the main reason He got elected as president is because most Americans voting for him were actually scared of having a Female president [it would have been indeed a first in history, but Obama was also a first and from my point of view [and the point of view of many of my friends] he did do good things for USA, and i had a much better opinion on the country and its people when he was in charge.]
I personally hope Americans will soon have enough of the monkey in Office and will do something to remove him from power. From what i see in the news, america doesnt become great again, but the greatest joke.
[i hope i'm wrong]

*i actually agree with the immigration ban on people coming from certain Muslim countries - historically Romanians have tried to stop the spread of their religion across Europe, and i honestly think we simply cannot know who is in ISIS and who is not. [though those who have been radicalized are very good at hiding it, and it could simply be anyone, even members of your own family
. I don't agree with the wall Trump wants to build at the border with Mexico - Berlin wall, anyone? or DMZ? yeah, makes me think of that. It also makes me think of the Iron Curtain separating Communist European countries from the rest of Europe
please guys, oppose it! or find other ways to stop Mexicans from coming illegally in the country. [if people have legal documents saying they are allowed to stay on the territory of any country, they shouldn't be expelled from said country: it's normal they want a better life for themselves and children]

*i think Americans should try harder at opposing the new 'healthcare' rules the current administration wants to impose. along with the new 'education' rules [laws, or what those are]: they are STEALING your future and lives away from you and especially from your children. many European countries have laws forcing children of schooling age to go to school - and school is free [except for the supplies, books, and uniforms if the school uses these]. Public schools offer better education than private schools in Romania [and this means high schools and universities. im not sure if we have middle schools. people do seem to prefer private kindergartens though and those are expensive for a regular romanian income].
Birth control pills and even abortions ARE healthcare: some women go through horrible cramps when they menstruate and those pills help with reducing said pain. abortions are healthcare if the life/health of the mother [or both mother and fetus] are in danger. Not to mention that it can be traumatizing for some women to be forced to carry an unwanted baby to term and give it birth
[and putting it up for adoption WILL NOT mean the baby will be adopted into a loving family - very few people consider adopting. google Ceausescu's unwanted babies: you'll see some shocking images of what happened to the unwanted romanian babies when abortion was banned. it is thanks to that law that the number of ROMA people (a very unwanted group of people no matter where they are in the world) became high (and now all the foreigners think Romanians are ROMA people, or gypsy.) If americans don't want to be overrun in numbers by illegal immigrants, or any other disliked race/nationality, they will RECONSIDER this birth control/abortion ban and laws because it will not only affect the Americans, but those who illegally came in the country as well.

*i find it impressive that Americans are so proud of being American: romanians are also proud of being romanian, but we still have a long way to reach the same level. we think [and know] we have corrupt leaders [we dont really know what to do about it because it seems our fight is currently against windmills, but that's a whole different jar of worms] and this stops many of us from being just as proud.
Cultural wise, it seems romanians really like Americans as we have adopted the 'being proud of being a citizen of this country' culture, as well as the relaxed fashion style Americans have [with girls wearing leggings as pants, and sneakers almost everywhere], and other aspects.

*i find it really weird that on one hand Americans are so prude, but then they have the biggest porn industry: how does that work? -how come the prude americans accept said industry to exist?

*i like how generally accepting americans are of others of other faiths. there are clash zones, true, but as long as nobody tries to hurt others, americans are OK with it [and i personally feel the same, but most romanians, and especially older generations, are not like this]

i should add that whatever negative thoughts i have of America and its people doesn't apply to all America or to all Americans. and i believe most americans on this forum have similar thoughts to mine... at least partially. in any case, my intention was NOT to insult, and so dont take it personally.
