Do you know how many Chinese and North Koreans were killed by UN Forces during the Korean War?

No? No one does. Suffice it to say, lots. I read an estimate somewhere that is was most of three entire armies.

The reason the truce was called was because China and North Korea were running out of cannon fodder to feed into Korea. Not to say the UN wasn't hoping to end it, as well, 'cause they were...not to mention the fear that the Sovs would come into it. That would have been bad. For everyone.

It's safe to say that while officially it was a draw, in reality the UN was well on the way to winning.

So how many needles Americans were killed just so you can say: we beat them, even though it was a draw….Over 33, 000 American young men died in that war.

Is thirty or 40 or 50 all right this time even though we may kill 1 million of them

America should get its ass to the negotiating table and come off this macho man BS

Peace is better than war

The nuclear "threat posed to the US" is a tiny fraction of the nuclear threat that the US has posed to the rest of the world for decades.

Going on 'use of nukes against actual people', it's US 2 , the rest of the world 0.

(Actually it's more than two if you count the nuke testing that just happened to irradiate islanders and fishermen of other nations - repeatedly).

Sure America will either win or at least draw against a small power like NK.

But if they ever get a nuke that they could use on the US then we have a big problem, indeed. Why not just resolve the issues between this country and the US. The issue isn’t really about anything of substance, like land or some kind of utility like oil.

It all started when Bush did his warmongering and labeled Korea, Iran, and Iraq the axis of evil yet it was Bush who started a war based on a lie that has put the world in jeopardy—leading to the death and destruction of millions.

Assuming that everything we are being told about little Kimmie is indeed factual.

With the media's record of honesty and factual reporting I won't be holding my breath.

It seems completely insane to me that we haven't acted on NK by now. They've been threatening to use nukes against us while actually trying to build said nukes. It'd be like if someone says they're going to go on a shooting rampage tomorrow at work and then they go out and buy a bunch of guns and ammo and nobody does anything about it because they'd rather just wait and see if they actually carry through.

Perhaps the US haven't reacted because NK hasn't done anything to them yet?

Could CNN be behind this so-called "Grass Roots" call for starting what would become a very bloody war?

The USA doesn't face a big enough threat from North Korea to start this war. We're better off, snuffing out Kim directly.

Are you kidding?

Have you ever heard of the Korean War?? June, 1950 to July, 1953. Started by the invasion of the south by the north.

Bush? seriously? There has been a virtually never ending series of events, both great and small, that can be directly attributed to the North Koreans.

Peace is better than war? Most of the time, surely. But when does peace at any price become something other than peace? Would you not go to war to protect your family? If you're married, your wife's family? Or innocents being murdered? There is a time and a place where a line must be drawn, and to cross it means war.

Don't like it? Too bad, welcome to the real world.

I'm well aware of how many Americans died. ...and British. Australians. ...and South Koreans, along with other allied nations young men. None of whom started the fight. That was, and no matter how twisted the logic will remain, the North Koreans.

I'm not sure where you're getting this stupid misconception that I somehow want a continuation of the Korean conflict...because nothing could be further from the truth. You need to reread my thoughts on the matter.

Since China, Japan and Russia are all on the same side of the planet as North Korea (not on the opposite hemisphere like the US), why aren't they talking taking military action against NK?

Perhaps they don't consider Mr Kim Jong half as bat$#1t insane as Mr Donald T. Rump and those who made him king.

But not to worry, you've still time to figure that out.

Dip Stick Donald needs to leave NK alone.

China came to NK's defense the first time around to keep a space-holder between US friendly SK and itself, and it may come into play again if Dip Stick Donald attacks.

China has little to nothing at risk considering the US manufacturing base has moved predominantly to China and other locations overseas...

...Watch China implement sanctions on the US...

...Watch the US squirm without China to do the work...

Don't be stupid.

I haven't read over all the posts in the thread but has anyone even mentioned the carnage that will fall on the South Koreans? And possibly even Japan. Everyone seems focused on potential US casualties but tens and possibly hundreds of thousands of S. Koreans could be killed. Kim reportedly has thousands of long-range artillery batteries dug into the mountains over-looking South Korea. Even without nukes and missiles there would likely be a bloodbath of innocent people.

There is always a blood bath of the innocents.

That is what ends wars, destroying the other farmer's livestock.

To destroy those who build the weapons puts an end to the county's will and ability to fight.

It's illegal, but the USA can covertly end the life of Kim Jong. ONE MAN cannot be allowed to enable the death of millions. We can prevent it now. To not take him out while we can, is a crime against humanity.

Kim is not "getting" it about nuke responsibility because he is the barking lap dog for the Russians. All this talk about the NK building this ICBM by themselves, our press following the narrative basically playing dumb, playing their role as part of the globalist agenda trying to spook americans into capitulation deals. NK is a proxy intimidator and thats all. Russia has demonstrated as much this last week to those who have eyes to see.

NK will not be able to deal out the required carnage. SK are a freaking formidable tiger and will have to launch if SHTF. NK will lose once dedicated force divisions are consumed in the fight. China will bee forced to invade just to keep the tiger at bay.
