CO2 has never been classified as a pollutant by any nation before 2009 when America became the first to do so. CO2 is a key ingredient of life. Plants take in CO2 for photosynthesis and produce O2. Animals take in O2 to break down food into chemical energy and produce CO2. Without CO2, there is no life. Burning fossil fuels does not add extra CO2 into the air. Long time ago, there was more CO2 in the air. As plants got buried and fossilized without being returned to the air by bacteria, CO2 in the air decreased. Burning fossil fuels restores the buried CO2 back to the air. It's not like people take C from somewhere and O2 from somewhere and do something fancy to make CO2 out of them and put into air. People are merely correcting nature's flaw by returning the CO2 that once existed in the air back to air. Obama is wrong. CO2 is not a pollutant. If it were, every person would be a source of pollution. That's absurd. Obama is wrong to try to reduce CO2 in air.

c02 isn't that mehhhh carbon dioxide? lol the same CARBON DIOXIDE that plants need to THRIVE lol mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm looks like mr. Obama should go back to earth and life science. lol

Yes and my point is, burning fossil fuels does not make NEW CO2, instead it restores the once existing CO2.

Not to mention the Earth's atmosphere is comprised of only .03% carbon dioxide. Queue the line for the hyperventilating left to come into this thread and pump if full of false narrative "stats" on how man is destroying this planet.

Ozone is only 5 ppm of the air and stops almost all UV. Quantity is not a good indicator. A long time ago before there were so much fossils, CO2 in the air was much higher and plants were healthier.

Lets do away with CO2 and I will never have to mow the yard again...

No CO2. No plants. No plants. No animals. Herbivores eat plants. Carnivores eat herbivores.

Simply put, Obama is/was an idiot.

I'd say you are right. I remember hearing in ecology classes way back then how the Earth ecosystem was self perpetuating and recycling. At virtually all level, all interconnected.

Like plant A gives xyz stuff and takes abc, and next to it, plant B gives abc stuff and takes xyz to live and grow.

Nature has flaw. The life cycle is not supposed to produce fossils. Dead things are supposed to be broken down by bacteria and recycled. Fossils are not recycled. It is up to people to burn fossil fuels to return CO2 back to air. Or else, over time, less and less Co2 means no more plants and no more life on Earth.

Well, nature has it's way to start fires and burn down whole forests. It would be fine without humans.

Life on a planet eventually die out because nature has flaw. If nothing is done about it, Earth would become a dead planet as more and more fossils accumulate.

My point is CO2 has never been a primary component of our atmosphere and therefore the Obama law was total BS. The times you are referring to were also when the global average temperature was near 90 degrees and a massive humid rain forest. You are making a completely subjective statement that can not be proven in the least. CO2 is one of only a number of contributing factors to the "health" of plants. If 95% of all species of life that has ever lived on this planet is now extinct how can you possibly assume at any time plants were "healthier" than they currently are? Plants who consume more CO2 or thrive in high CO2 environments also require more water than plants that do not. Nature did just fine for a few billion years self regulating and adjusting well before man ever came along.

Humans are a product of nature. Maybe humans were created by nature to restore CO2? Maybe.

That's too abstract. Nature doesn't have a singular cognitive consciousness. As man evolved from whatever primitive form from millions of years ago to present day so has our environment evolved with us. We consume the resources of our planet, replenish some and are learning how to replenish others and adapt to its change. Convergent evolution is evident throughout nature and we are just as much a part of nature as all organisms.

However, at some point we will grow to over consume and our planet will no longer be able to support mass human life. It's just a matter of time. Unless we can control over population and learn to limit human expansion we will at some point consume all of Earth's resources. The BS narrative of higher levels of CO2 gases being at the root of global warming issues is the least of my concerns. Over population and over consumption is a much larger issue than some false narrative designed to drive global taxation.

I once heard Arnold the Governator's chief science whatever do a speech where he has rage in his heart when he'd say "CO2", and again and again he kept saying the phrase "CO2 CONTAMINATION"!

So every time he exhales he's breathing out a "contaminant".

Better set about nuking the global termite scene if that's the case.

Termites produce more CO2 each year than all living things combined
Scientists have calculated that termites alone produce ten times as much carbon dioxide as all the fossil fuels burned in the whole world in a year.

Pound for pound, the weight of all the termites in the world is greater than the total weight of humans.

Scientists estimate that, worldwide, termites may release over 150 million tons of methane gas into the atmosphere annually. In our lower atmosphere this methane then reacts to form carbon dioxide and ozone.

It is estimated that for every human on Earth there may be 1000 pounds of termites.

On the average Termites expel gas composed of about 59% nitrogen, 21% hydrogen, 9% carbon dioxide, 7% methane, and 4% oxygen.

It is thought “There are 2,600 different species of termites, and it is estimated that there are at least a million billion individual termites on Earth, that they emit two and four percent of the global carbon dioxide and methane budget, respectively-both mediated directly or indirectly by their microbes.

The reason CO2 needs to be a controlled emission is because it is a GREEHOUSE GAS

What that means is that CO2 in our atmosphere absorbs the long wave radiation that bounces off the earth and back out and KEEPS IT HERE.. acting like.. a GREENHOUSE.. thus heating up the planet.

Basic Environmental Science

and yes, I have a certificate form a University in Environmental Science so I know what Im talking about.

Well, humans need water to survive, I guess then its great if we live at the bottom of the ocean.

The right will always lose the crowd with their anti-science stance. This is why you will always fail in any long term way.

You are playing a game of poker with the only ecosystem we have with no idea how math works...you just keep saying "hit me" because why not..plenty of cards and you haven't busted yet.
