I didn't say Antifa wasn't far left. I said anyone a hair left of center is being called a terrorist. People are using the handful of Antifa morons that got violent as justification.

And everyone (moderate) who is right or left of center gets called alt right when they counter the status quo of DC concensus. They are better described as libertarians.

Bernie and Trump supporters cant be in the same field to Democrats eyes though....even though thats exactly what they are. One socialist the other conservative. Both libertarians on a pendulum.

Not many really use the term alt right besides those that apply it to themselves.

False. It was a journalism term created by the media to describe the non republican voter base Trump created.

It is still used by them and everyone else who gets snarky with us.

We never asked for more labels. We have enough.

I prefer NYer, then American, then Awesome-O 9000, then lazer.

Sorry but you're wrong.

In November 2008, self-described paleoconservative philosopher Paul Gottfried addressed the H. L. Mencken Club about what he called "the alternative right".[49] This was republished in December of that year under the title "The Decline and Rise of the Alternative Right"[50] in the conservative Taki's Magazine, making this the earliest published usage of the phrase in its current context according to Slate. In 2009, two more posts at Taki's Magazine, by Patrick J. Ford and Jack Hunter, further discussed the alternative right.[51] The term, however, is most commonly attributed to Richard B. Spencer, president of the National Policy Institute and founder of Alternative Right.[31][52][53]

So he is a media personality. Yeah, what I said.

Thats like me making up terminology for genderless people and saying its now official terminology they endorse.

The media made it THEIR word for us. WE never used it.

I'm not terribly familiar with Antifa, but what I've seen of them hasn't endeared me to their message or cause. Infact I'm not even sure what they stand for, as I've only seen video of them chanting nonsensically at the top of their lungs with masked faces. I do know that Antifa is supposed to stand for 'anti-fascist', but if anything they appear at first glance to be nothing but a bunch of amateur brownshirt impersonators themselves. They obviously don't collectively understand the irony of that.

Uh no... these are leaders of white nationalist groups trying to create an umbrella grouping. No one calls the entire right, alt-right.

So they are white nationalists. There is the danger of letting the opposition create your identity labels.

See I learned.

We arent white nationalists try again.

Edit to add:
White nationalists were democrats originally. The founder of the KKK was a democrat and the party has the history it does.

Then they became republicans but only in inconsistent measures according to political climate.

Now they are what they always were, token talking points for the political divide and opportunists.

#not our alt right.

Antifa have progressed to cutting fibre optic lines:

www.thegatewaypundit.com...

This wasn't a single strand fibre optic cable, it was a 192 strand cable. Each strand is a separate fibre optic channel, cable of running 26 terabits on a single wavelength of light. Those cables would transmit everything from international phone calls to emergency 911 calls, home internet and business VPN's.

It would take up to 10 minutes to fix one strand. The loss of service is likely to cost millions of dollars.

Pay attention... I'm not calling anyone, anything. I was talking about the government link that mentioned those terms. I don't think all right wingers are racist or white nationalists. You're talking out of your ass.

So if you dont think its true information why not offer that disclaimer when you post it.

Also, I dont know if you do use that term. I dont check posting history very much anymore.

I only offered a clarification as to what was stated since it was admittedly wrong and was left to appear as fact.

No harm person. No worries.

Have a good one.

OK so what about freedom of speech and expression?

What about it?

bigleaguepolitics.com...

A Portland antifa group is handing out flyers featuring a chainsaw slicing through the president’s head to advertise a training class preparing for a clash at a free speech rally scheduled for the next day. The group is openly calling for violence and said in a statement that they are “unapologetic” about “physical militancy.”

Inciting, provocative, and speech advocating violence are not protected speech. The SCOTUS rulings have been clear on this over the years.

No, this thread and topic is about ANTIFA! It isn't about anyone on the far left, but those who align themselves with and believe as those as ANTIFA does!

I'm sorry but if you don't consider yourself aligning with the ideologies of ANTIFA, I am puzzled as to why you might be so offended as to make this topic into something it is not?

We are talking about ANTIFA?

Dear NJ "what terrorist act has ANTIFA committed"? I havent heard of them blowing up anything or taking hostages. Yes they do riot and whine and bitch like little babies. Why label a group running their A-holes..... I mean mouths. I thought the 1st was a blanket for all to speak under not as an excuse to silence thier opposition. Funny thing is ANTIFA dose the exact same thing.

Protect the 1st even if you dont agree with what they are selling.

Because at some point you need to be responsible for your own ability to comprehend what someone writes. I shouldn't need to put a goddamn disclaimer after every sentence.

Because there are antifa groups and anarchist groups that can be labeled antifa that don't engage in violence yet are now Domestic Terrorists? What about the groups that willingly fight with them? You guys are littering the road to authoritarianism with rose petals.

Welp than dont back track. Fliping and flopping.

No disclaimer means either you knew it was wrong and posted or didnt know it was wrong and posted.

Either way you are wrong....like you guys were this past election.
