Well ladies and gentlemen, the West allows Terrorists in but not aspiring Scientists?

Six teenage girls from Afghanistan have been denied visas to travel to the US for an international robotics competition, but they will be permitted to send their ball-sorting contraption to compete without them.

The aspiring inventors wept when they heard they couldn't escort their machine to Washington DC for the First Global Challenge, an annual contest for high school students from across the world.

They went on dangerous journey twice to the US embassy and each time they were rejected

They had twice trekked around 500 miles from Herat, a western city in Afghanistan, to the American embassy in Kabul to apply for the one-week travel visas. But their efforts proved to be in vain as US officials rejected their applications following a series of interviews.

Meanwhile, Western leaders such as Merkel bring in refugees that leeched off the system and engage in terrorist activities.

Also, the US allowed scums like this preacher to spread their hateful ideology in this country while rejecting these girls that would have improved this country if they were given the opportunity to live here.

In my opinion, these girls should be the ones allowed here since they would have contributed to society and plus qualify as refugees.

I think student visas should be left alone. and if that's too much rope allow them a sponsor escort. but they should be allowed to compete.

Problem is, as of now, Regressive Leftists prefer Radical Islamists over scientists.

Gone were the days when we allow scientists like Einstein to settle here.

In fact allowing foreign scientists regardless of nationality to come to this country was one reason the US managed to become the dominant superpower.

g.co... although what you say is true it isn't all roses and sunshine. Operation paperclip was about relocating Nazi scientists and making use of their heinous experiments!

If trump wanted to score some global points he'd send in some navy seals to pick up the girls and take them to the competition, that be some great pr to show the world the American military can be used for good

Too bad Afghanistan citizens have allowed radical Muslims to populate their country. These girls should be allowed to compete, but because of the evil of Islam, they can't.

Really?

It's that difficult to tell a group of schoolgirl scientists apart from terrorists? Then what the Hell are we paying for in govt.? Aside from apparent incompetence, I mean.

Good God. This is just about stupid. Were I able to, I'd volunteer to sponsor them.

Wait, couldn't the robot be a bomb??

We pay them for food stamps, welfare (both individual and corporate), public housing, education, healthcare, lawyers for illegal immigrants, foreign wars etc. The less we allow government to do, the more they could focus on the important stuff, like determining who is and isn't a threat to come into the country.

Well well. My first thought was the usual crap from the media. Perhaps we should ask why they can't come.

But first ... the article.

They had twice trekked around 500 miles from Herat, a western city in Afghanistan, to the American embassy in Kabul to apply for the one-week travel visas.

'Trekked' means walk. They did not walk. I imagine they were driven there. But yes, the stupid US media has to say that they Trekked. Trekked my shiny butt.

But their efforts proved to be in vain as US officials rejected their applications following a series of interviews.

Hmm, why. Could it be that the US Embassy in Kabul needs its swamp cleared out?

Is someone deliberately making Trump look bad and can this actually happen.

Only in America.

I have a vision. Trump will answer this at the same time as firing some people who work in that Embassy.

Let's see what happens. More media hype than truth.

Apparently this has nothing to do with Trump. Teams from some countries even on the proposed ban list were allowed entry from what I have read.

From OP:

Only the teams from Afghanistan and Gambia have been denied travel visas, while students from Iran, Iraq, and Sudan are able to attend.
US State Department records state that just 32 business travel visas were granted for Afghans in April, far fewer than the 138 issued to Iraqis or the 1,492 applications accepted in Pakistan during the same month.

Trekked is mostly referring to a long difficult journey, could be on ski's, Ox and cart, on foot..etc.

Any links?..I will try to be objective and give them a look.
The OP's link seems to be dead or I would start there myself.

There hasn't been any terrorist attacks in my home town or home state for that matter. I think most Americans aim to keep it that way. Can't speak for the Germans, as *ahem* accepting as they are...
