What?

I'm pretty confident President Trump is exercising his right of free speech.

President Trump is NOT a private citizen, he's the Head of State and the Commander in Chief. At no time is Donald Trump NOT the President of the United States. The President of United States is THE GOVERNMENT! The government doesn't have free speech, it's citizens do. The government is charged with protecting free speech, not threatening it with violence.

well said, windword....5 lines of wisdom.....but, there are PLENTY of trump voters who would love nothing better to get an "OK" to beat the s**t out of every liberal, some even here on ATS.

The President of the United States doesn't get to talk out of two sides of his mouth, claiming some kind of schizophrenic privilege of personal speech vs a public presidential statement. Everything he says and does, he says and does as President of the United States of America, not as some butt hurt private citizen crying about media burn!

really?....can't wait for your response to a video showing Obama punching FOX NEWS employees multiple times in the face....trump now shows he is a facilitator of violence, and that it is OK with him.....trump also has the "right" to tell people to f**k off, and call black people ni***r in public....what's wrong with you?....

Just a couple of questions:

Why is the media not reporting the source of the clip and that it is WWE owner Vince McMann under the logo?

Did the media perform their "special treatment" on Linda McMann during her political campaign?

Has the media directly asked Trump for the impetus for the clip: frustration, sharing a laugh someone sent him or....?

How many would have not seen it all if they didn't say anything at all which is called minimizing the damage?

No, they remove history and teach a new one. That is what all of those you listed did. Removing historical trademarks. Removing statues. Rewriting history.

You buy into what you have been fed for the past 10 years? Hell, even this weekend Obama talked trash about the US and how we should be more tolerant and accepting. He is still pushing for a race/religious split.

“If we don’t stand up for tolerance and moderation and respect for others, if we begin to doubt ourselves and all that we have accomplished, then much of the progress that we have made will not continue,” he said. “What we will see is more and more people arguing against democracy, we will see more and more people who are looking to restrict freedom of the press, and we’ll see more intolerance, more tribal divisions, more ethnic divisions, and religious divisions and more violence,” Obama asserted. While former presidents rarely criticize their successors at home, Obama took the unusual step of going to a foreign country to do it.

Arguing against Democracy? That is what all of Trumps opponents are doing. Trying anything to stop the democratic process. The president should not have the right in 2017 to use technology to express himself.

It has been done plenty of times in the last century where the POTUS talks directly to the people and the POTUS admonished the press.

He is the POTUS and if he wants to call out the media he has every right. I mean, do you think ANY of you could have put up with the last 2 years of media bias and attacks without wanting to stop it?

I find it funny. Not sure why it upsets anyone.

Was listening to Fox news on the way into work. Some Fox babe was saying how she was offended by it. Apparently the president is normalizing violence against journalist? I don't know - seemed like a pretty big bundle of straws to grasp to me.

I do find it odd that the same people screaming about the 1st amendment as if it makes the media above criticism, are the same ones that are happy for the President to be attacked and cheer when his constitutional authority is questioned or blocked.

you got it pal, it's absolutely selective outrage....POTUS represents ALL AMERICANS, not just the 35% that praise him....maybe you can go to schools and show kids how our president is suppose to act by showing that clip, since you endorse it....admit it, you loved it, you probably wishing you could do that to every liberal you know, right?......especially me

It may just be 'simulated' violence..
but it's still violence

here it's been directed, targeted at one media outlet.
and forwarded personally (even if he didn't make it) by your President.

THAT is the truth of the matter here, and the problem.

Violence? A play kills Trump, another actress shows his severed head Snoop Dog shoots him in a video. All protected right but not the president?

Protected? You honestly think because someone else does it its ok for the President.

He's supposed to set a goddam example, you expect to be able to tell your kids that the President is a good decent man.

Your excuse is... well Snoop Dog did it? How pathetic.

no, NOT the president bc...he is our PRESIDENT!

I dont think anyone in a political office should act that way, especially the PRESIDENT of the united states.

Is snoop dog, kathy griffen, a nobody playwright...are any of them in control of my life?

NO

DIMWIT trumps IS! He better start acting like he can handle the job.

It IS acceptable for the others who are NOT in any political office to do their plays, art, music videos...whatever...the POTUS should not partake in that venom...EVER.

No, I am asking why blood violence is ok against an elected official. He is protected to say what he wants because of the 1st Amendment.

The Trump CNN video is a makeshift video that was filmed for wrestling. Where is the violence in that? If that is so, get rid of wrestling.

He is setting an example. How come no one wants to take about the 'tweet' where he wants to save the live of a UK child?
