I knew it would come.

Nice.

Took longer then an obama death camps claim though.

Anyways they are asking for more then just publicly available data. They are asking for voting habbits and who people voted for. The federal government is states to share with them data they dont need. There is a reason we have secret ballots.

This is insane, and probably unconstitutional. It sounds like Trump wants to have a record of all voters not in his party so he can try to blackmail them to vote for him in 2020. The good news is that many states are refusing to cooperate. The bad news is that almost half of the states aren't refusing to cooperate.

www.cnn.com...

THAT is precisely what Obama did with Lerner, using the IRS to punish political opponents.

Why would he need lists ?

It's easy to find out who votes where and how.

On the fence on this one. Apparently , CNN keeps quoting a mail they have. Yet , it doesnt show in the article anywhere.
Have they dropped the fake news and regressed to their fake headline days ? Pseudo Fake News. Glorified headlines. Quoting known anti-whatever like the Virginia governor who wants to enact his own sanctuary cities ?

"I have no intention of honoring this request," Gov. Terry McAuliffe (Democrat)

Really ?Ol Terry doesnt want to honor any requests from an Administration other than Obama's
Really , this McAuliffe -

We Lose 93 Million Americans a Day to Gun Violence ...

Shame , under this we would be a desolate nation in just 4 days
A lot of horsesh** out there . Be careful .

Many Secretaries of State are rejecting this. Probably due to the obvious despotic, Putin-like implications.
It's just another day, another indication that this Administration is off the rails.

Best part is its both GOP and DEM control states rejecting this. It will be hard for the admin to claim partisan politics. I mean they will anyways but it will be a hollow claim.

Exactly. If the states don't give it willingly, the Admin will get it anyway. It's not confidential.

And yet they also de-funded the Elections Assistance Commission, which would help states to prevent hacking. Would they do this if they were really so concerned with voter fraud? Or would they rather Russia have unfettered access to muck around? Which they did try to do.

Centralizing the elections is what would make them susceptible to external hacking and internal manipulation. And Trump put a stop to it.

Cnn, must be true.

Not like they ever admitted to making false claims for ratings.

To those having hissyfits on this: How do you propose to prove your contention there is no voter fraud without examing the voter registration rolls and comparing them to other govt. Data? Maybe you will prove there is no voter Fraud. Saying "There's nothing to see, but not you can't look" just begs the question of "Well what are your hiding then,"?

They do not ask how you voted in the election, only if you voted in the primaries, republican or Democrat.

I have nothing to hide and this information cannot even be used against anyone. It is basically information they can get from their records. Only those who have done wrong need to worry, that is the way it should be, criminal behavior should not be protected.

The states that are refusing are probably the ones that allow or promote voter fraud.
