Fair enough..I hear you. It is unfortunate he took it dry after the DNC cheated him, well I guess he took the consolation prize.

This gets so often repeated ... can you tell us briefly how you think that the "DNC cheated Sanders"?

Primaries were held, the people voted ... where again is the cheating that is simply accepted as "fact" these days?

Boy, she's a sweetheart. They bought the land from the Diocese of Burlington, promising that they'd relocate the residents of the group home there. Instead, she tries to straight-up evict them, and is surprised when people have a problem with this.

We should all be glad she didn't end up as the First Lady.

Anyone care to actually provide evidence regarding the agreement between Burlington College and the Diocese?

Or did you merely want to keep up the tempest in a teapot regarding Sanders?

Welcome to the real world. If someone buys the house you are renting, the new owner can evict you or even double or triple your rent unless there is a signed lease agreement which protects you from that. Most leases do not have a clause that protects the renter from that.

Anyway, that lease agreement would be between the church and the tenants, not between Sanders and the Tenants. I doubt if there was any agreement between the College and the people in that house.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Burlington has completed the sale of its headquarters to Burlington College for $10 million to help pay for the recent settlement in sexual abuse lawsuits involving Vermont priests. According to the Reverend Salvatore R. Matano, bishop of the statewide diocese, the diocese and the college finished signing the last of the paperwork late Friday.

The agreement is irrelevant. It is the hypocrisy of it all. Kicking little old ladies out of their home. Only conservatives do things like that... I agree that somethings are business, not personal. Mrs. Sanders may very well be in the right to evict. But progressives never seem to think that way unless they are talking about their own money/business which is what is being pointed out.

With you progressives, it is always businesses are being greedy. Inequity. Not fair. Not paying enough taxes. blah, blah, blah when it is OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY and situations. But when it comes to your own money and business situations, you guys seem to get mighty conservative all of a sudden. You start embracing market wages, legal contracts, business not personal, use tax loop holes, etc.

Typical limousine lib behavior.

Quite a string of nonsense there ... blotta blotta [insert standard irrelevant Right wing jingoism here]

Burlington College bought property from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Burlington.

They bought it with the intention of using it as part of their campus.

Do you have a link to the agreement that Mrs. Sanders made regarding the disposition of the "old ladies" or not?

I'm betting the answer is "not."

I'm sure calculus looks like nonsense as well to a pre-schooler... the point when totally over your head. I'll try one more time.

If Burlington has legal agreements as to the disposition of the property and tenants then there really is no issue. I am not disputing this point. Business not personal.

The point was Mrs. Sanders comments which are totally the opposite of what her commie husband often spouts in his public policy positions. It is the hypocrisy of it all, not that it is legal or not.

“It is simply not fair to expect the College to continue to carry the burden of the expenses associated with housing both your population and ours..."

-Jane Sanders (Source)

This is something that a conservative would say when discussing tax burdens, wages, or any other types of financial topics when progressives are seeking to put their hands in our pockets for their various redistribution schemes...

Thanks for playing.

Exactly. It's the hypocrisy that's so galling. These self-identified "socialists" love to talk about taking from the rich to help the little people, but in their own lives the Sanders' give every appearance of being ruthless greedy capitalists.

LOL ... yes, yes, you think you're smarter than others ... we've all heard that before.

Do you have anything other than third-hand information to go on in your condemnation of Mrs. Sanders?

The Diocese sold their property and agreed to move. Did that fact escape you as well?

I'm not playing, playing is enjoyable.

This is more like trying to scoop up fecal matter.

Again: do you have any information about any agreement made by Burlington College regarding the disposition of "the little old ladies" or not?

That should be easy peasy for an intellect such as yours ...

No surprise.

Historically, socialists tend to favor eliminating disabled people by employing eugenics.

I missed the part where the old ladies were euthanized ... could you link that?

Please work on your reading comprehension... reading is fundamental. Everything you point out was addressed in my post. You are either not that bright or being deliberately obtuse.

1) Again, no one is debating whether Mrs. Sanders is legally entitled to kick the little old ladies out of the house. If she is, I support her decision. We have legal contracts for a reason. So please stop bringing this point up as it is completely irrelevant.

2) Mrs. Sanders OWN WORDs stated her position on the matter. I provided the quote above and will provide it for the third freaking time. "“It is simply not fair to expect the College to continue to carry the burden of the expenses associated with housing both your population and ours..." - Mrs. Sanders

3) Mrs. Sanders position in #2 is counter to the policy positions of her husband. Notice how she says "...carry burder of the expense associated with housing both your population and ours." This is what conservatives typically complain about. I am trying to take care of my own family and you are are taxing me to the wazoo to take care of others. Making me pay more unnecessarily for others. Is Mrs. Sanders a conservative or just a hypocrite?

Since apparently this topic is too dense for you, let us pick another example which is just as egregious. You guys are constantly talking about minimum wage, yet when you are in a position to determine wages YOU DON"T VOLUNTARILY PAY MORE THAN REQUIRED.

Here is that dingbat Nancy Pelosi being called out for the hypocrisy which is similar to what this thread is discussing. Hopefully, it is clear now.

I'd forgotten what a waste of time it is to attempt a reasonable conversation with you.

I read your post. You provided ZERO evidence that Mrs. Sanders "kicked old ladies" out of anything similarly neither did the OP.

Nothing you've ever written is "too dense" for anyone. You like to hear your own horn blowing.

Others are not as taken with you as you are with yourself.

If you happen to trip across any actual facts regarding this situation let us know.

You can bloviate by yourself.

Holy crap Gryph, how many times does someone have to say that they aren't debating the eviction of old ladies but rather, the hypocrisy of the statement made by a liberal when compared to their political ideology before you get it.

Good question, Gryphon.

Yes, this is a current and newsworthy subject in lieu of the current and ongoing FBI probe into Jane Sanders.

Also, I believe this is timely, due to the fact that Judicial Watch only recently received access to this information.

My goodness Garg, I "got" that this is nothing more than yet another lame excuse for a liberal bashing thread PAGEs ago. What you and others can't seem to comprehend is that your silly garden variety right wing evangelizing is based on NOTHING.

This happened SIX years ago. The Diocese sold pits property to the College to raise money for its legal defense in kiddy-diddling.

You guys just want to go on and on about the same garbage arguments about the left and what you think you know about it ... but you're basing this whole thing on BS.

You're the second poster to state this this is not about what did or didn't happen, merely the rotted hay you want to make about your eternal right v left diatribe.
