Nevermind this. The campaign premise was that there would be a replacement. Why are they working on it NOW? Why are they only realizing NOW that "its more difficult than they thought it was going to be"? Why after a 9 year hiatus were they so ill-prepared in their understanding of what is entailed in "repeal and replace"?

If it was the "main reason that many of the GOP AND trump" were elected, why NOW is there still such support for such a failure to deliver?

Well technically it only became "repeal and replace" when they assumed office. Up until then it was mostly just "repeal" because they didn't have to actually consider the consequences of those opinions coming to fruition. Just adopt it for political reasons and ride to reelection. Now that they have to actually deliver suddenly the "... and replace" part was added to the end of it.

First, most of you still do not understand the ACA do you? Millions will not be 'ripped' off of coverage. What will happen is that the requirements for Medicaid will change if you go off and try to go back on. I have seen estimates from 4 million the first year to 30 over course of several years. This would happen anyways. There are millions every year who go on and off Medicaid.

Second, the personal mandate has got to go. It is a tax that should not be there.

Third, Obamacare was not insurance. It created a 'marketplace' that did not work. Almost all major carriers are not involved anymore. It gave subsidies, billions to healthcare companies, to cover their losses. How about those monies be sent to 'Medicare' instead? The US taxpayers was subsidizing big pharma. The people 'added' to the healthcare system were subsidized by those who did not choose coverage but were taxed anyways.

We did fine before it. We will be find when it is gone.

I don't think this works. Obamacare taxed the middle class and put tens of millions, especially children, on Medicaid. If Obamacare is repealed, tax would be cut and all those people will lose their Medicaid like they were pre Obamacare.

Those people had their chance to protest when Obamacare was being rammed down our throats. They were (mostly) completely silent. They sat back and allowed this booby trap to be set up in the first place and didn't have the brains to protest. Now they want to protest and blame it on everyone else for (finally) getting enough votes to say no to Obamacare?

They should lose medicaid. They never had a right to it in the first place. You want to make a difference? Give those people some condoms and "tax" them if they get pregnant. There's an "individual mandate" that actually makes sense.

The Congressional Budget Office is out of touch with reality and brain-frozen. It says that 15 million Americans will lose their health insurance in 2018. There are only 11 million on ObamaCare Medicaid and 8 million on ObamaCare private plans.

Medicaid funding isn't even touched for 4 years! Most of the people with Private Plans will dump their ObamaCare, and buy free-market policies that meet their needs/budget.

I think the CBO people are holdovers from the Obama administration. They painted ObamaCare as too rosey, and are now painting Trumpcare as too bleak. It's obvious that they are NOT "non-partisan".
