What good does it do??? They need to be shamed; they need to be ridiculed...until they stop behaving like spoiled rotten children! When they stop, then the 'taunting' should stop, but until then it should be set on volume "11".

That strategy probably doesn't convert many democrats over to our side. It probably doesn't convince those in the middle to support us. All we need to do is articulate the Agenda, and the vast majority of Americans will come over to our side. The Leftists will lose more and more. Stooping to their level just keeps them in the game.

You keep telling yourself that. It's a good mantra to help allay the fear that too much exposure to right wing propaganda has burdened you with. Just keep conflating all of those vague and entirely unrelated disjointed notions into one giant leftist bogeyman - some beastial amalgamation of Hillary, Stalin and then give the monster dark skin and possibly an alien religion with which to frighten you to the core... And then you can just jump on Twitter so that the incoherent ramblings of Big Daddy President Combover can make it all seem so much less frightening.

Meanwhile, for those of us who don't read Brietbarty scary bedtime stories all day, every day - we proceed fully aware that America is largely a nation of moderates who favor a mixture of liberal social approaches and conservative fiscal ideas.

But let's not allow that to get in the way of the projection you so obviously and deeply need to engage in.

And whilst people continue to be brainwashed into thinking the Left is any different from the Right, the farce that is democracy will continue.

It's all an illusion of choice, whereas the actual truth is; Left, Right, Democrat or Republican... same result.

More poverty, more war and invasions, and more greed for the rich.

reading this lousy post, and the general mood of this discussion board, I think we all lost.
We have a president who is all "antics" and little substance.
We have a country with lots of problems that this man will never come close to fixing.
so yep, the left lost. Just like everyone else, even those in denial.

You know, I actually respect and like your statement. Sadly though, it doesn't work like that. Mediocrity only leads to an ever greater shift to socialism. Every time. Honestly, check your history. (all due respect intended).

The reason our society is so polarized right now is because of the shock from stepping back from this very same mediocrity and indecision. It needs to be. Without it there will be no change, and change is sorely needed right now.

"But...but..but...I want my stuff, my safe place, my everything...my selfishness!" No, sorry, that's not how it's going to be. This is the root cause of the problem, centrism and mediocrity. "Go with the flow" will ALWAYS gravitate to laziness and complacency, always. And when the working class pay for this mentality for too long, and then take it away...there is anarchy. Always. This is exactly what we are seeing now. Exactly.

I live in the real world. Not some fantasy, imagined, re-invented history land where everyone has some sort of a "deep seated" problem.

Are you sure??? Because you certainly wouldn't know it by reading your OP.

C'mon, man...you're better than that! It's not about Trump (despite what you may think), it's about "no more".

Seriously, Heff, you disappoint me if you truly believe those words. Surely you must know that mediocrity wins nothing.

If your perception is flawed or tainted with elements of fallacy... and you don't know it... and the only company you keep are folks who believe as you do... there is little to no chance of clarifying your perceptual flaws.

It's NOT just lefties who do this. It's conservatives... and everyone in between... in other words... HUMANS do it.

The reason it looks and feels so out of control right now, is the majority press has been more weaponized against the population the last 2 years than at any time in my own experience (I'm 60 y.o.).

The majority of Americans haven't been trained in how to spot propaganda, prior to this election cycle... but they are getting one hell of an education this time around.

Folks know instinctively that unbiased "news" shouldn't be emotive and loaded down with opinion.

Also, many very left leaning journalists who really are journalists, despite not liking Trump AT ALL... are now sounding the alarm and coming right out and saying what has happened to the media this election cycle is actually a much greater threat to the Republic than Donald Trump. Duh...

IMO... the immense peril for the country is decades in the making... and has NOTHING to do with Trump... although he is a symptom of what happened over the last 20 years.

Nothing more...and nothing less.

Funny - I don't equate the middle with mediocrity. I guess I'd consider myself a liberal, but I'm rational above all. We need people who think more rationally running this country. That, imho, is not Trump and the minions he's assembled. Someone like Theodore Roosevelt comes to mind - someone who gets sh!t done, but in a rational manner. Trump, et al, are quite the opposite of rational..

It's a cautionary tale. Take note. Trumpsters are "winning" about as much a Charlie Sheen is "winning".

That's a fair point to begin a discussion - "No more". However, as I previously stated, you've conflated so many disparate things into the single label of "leftist" or "liberal".

Violence, for example, is not inherently liberal nor conservative. Both sides, and all of those in-between or otherwise aligned have blood on their historical hands.

Also, as so often is the case these days, the rising split in the Democratic party between the Corporatist wing and the Progressives isn't a sign of a party failing - it's the sign of a significant part of a party rising up against the same sort of corruption that Trump voters sought to end when they voted to drain the swamp.

IE not all leftists and liberals are created equal at all and with any luck by the next Presidential election we won't be running a candidate who is beholden to Goldman Sachs and Saudi Arabia - we'll be fielding one who refuses to take money from ANY special interest and runs on campaign reform as a primary platform.

But I digress.

The main point is that the average American doesn't fit the mold of conservative nor liberal in a true sense - but some mixture of both sides. And that's what we really should be working at, rather than attacking constantly.

You must be the most insecure and cowardly person on earth to actually feel the need to write something like that and post it online.

That's just sad man. So very sad.

Show me on the doll where the bad people touched you and maybe we can start the healing process.

The OP sounds very secure , confident and ok to me
However , someone else doesnt
Know the way to tell when one is losing a debate ? They resort to personal attacks and namecalling
Hmmmm

It's despicable that Republicans are giving Democrats so much authority, considering that they hold no majorities. Chuck Schumer speaks, and all networks and politicians hang on every word today. You'd think that HE and HIS PARTY are in control. Hell.. maybe they are!

Wait, you're being to rational. LOL! I starred your post because I like your style. As I noted, the OP isn't about Trump; it's about the radical left...and despite what some may allege, they ARE radical.

Trump isn't my hero, but the left is my enemy; they stand for everything wrong with this dysfunctional nation. Well, almost everything, not all.

I disagree that the middle doesn't represent mediocrity, but if we were to get into semantics I would argue the middle equals bureaucracy, and bureaucracy equals paralysis...which is EXACTLY what the "politicians" (both right AND left) want.

Again, not about Trump, but Trump is an outsider and therefore not a "politician" in the Beltway Bandit sense.

You know, we could probably actually have a decent conversation about this, but we would be two people in sea of lunacy. This OP just illustrates the lunacy!

Thanks though.
