a reply to: seeker1963 Well, The guy IS wrong. He was arguing against moving 6000 Marines from Okinawa to Guam and it had nothing to do with Global Warming. It had to do with the Japanese getting tired of Marines sexually assaulting their women. And unbelievably, you seem to think, as he does, that islands float. They don't. They are actually attached to Planet Earth under water. So his assertion was ridiculous and proves that IQ has nothing to do with getting elected to the House of Representatives.

It is a bit concerning when a Senator from a large nation like Brazil starts to make claims like this in public in front of their own parliament. I wonder if anybody from NASA is going to stick their neck out and corroborate the Senator's claims.

Yes many leaders have gone into a delusional state before and it is concerning.

Its a shame that anyone with any sense of logic can fall for such ignorant rubbish.

The plus side is, at least it tells us he is a person who questions and seeks insight into alternative views. Thats is a positive character trait that I hope the Brazilian voters are taking note of.

is this a joke?

You have a politician that just announces they have lost their mind and that they cannot think for themselves and that is something positive that Brazilian voters should take note of?

Neither of that is relevant, because the OP is about the fact that a Brazilian Senator was discussing the planet Nibiru, or X7, in front of a parliamentary session on behalf of a letter from a voter. He seemed genuinely concerned though.

I too would be concerned that people can be sooooo dumb.

Although, a dumb voter is something a politician would want

soooo.....
