What does this tie to or allude to having happened?

I wonder why Podesta gets a closed session for testimony. I understand why intelligence chiefs testifying about classified info would warrant closed door hearings... but why Podesta?

Unless this part is wrong --

The committee is expected to question Podesta about the leak of thousands of his emails, which became a political headache and embarrassment for Clinton in the heat of the campaign season.

-- and it's really about unmasking by the Obama administration, specifically during the time Podesta served as Counselor to Obama (2014/2015).

Or maybe not. I don't know of course. But it seems odd that Podesta would be questioned behind closed doors if he were only being questioned about the email leak.
