PYRO91 and 92, a pair of CV-22s coming up out of Nellis. Looks like COPPER8 and maybe QUEST63 are playing Red Air tankers tonight.

ETA: Nope, just COPPER right now it looks like.

Constant Phoenix has been flying along the coast. He went down from Washington into California yesterday. He's back up tonight but not showing on the map.

It's an actual block of 24 or 66 aircraft depending on which source you use. Upgraded INS and communications gear over the Block II upgrade, but there was a Block III apparently already, so they had to go with 2.5 instead.

He was buzzing around that same area yesterday. He's a missile testbed, seekers and the like. I suspect he's testing a seeker against something running the canyon if he's back over that area again.

There is an F-35 running around with a C-130J and it looks like they are practicing tanking based on their patterns of the coast of San Diego

Looks like it, but it's gonna be kind of hard to tank with that difference in altitude. Heh. F-35 path looks like he's been hitting the tipple up there.

I haven't been able to get pics, but there's a C-17, possibly foreign, hiding out in the Pinal Air Park. I first saw it yesterday and it about broke my brain.

Yesterday, I caught a rare-for-here Embraer Super Tucano (A-29, EMB 314, etc.) with drop tanks orbiting for about an hour at around 12,000 feet circling Centennial Airport (south Denver Metro area). The weather was overcast and deteriorating, and the plane high just below the cloud deck, so the pics aren't great.

Sadly, about three hours after I took the pictures, a Cirrus SR-22 crashed with one fatality just after takeoff. The wreckage was spread over several acres and its engine hit a house. My window was open and I could just hear the impact and lots of EMS sirens afterward. The weather was foggy, rainy, and windy at the time - no idea why somebody would be flying if they didn't absolutely have to.

Anyways, it’s interesting to see a Tucano flying about. I didn't see it tracking on ADS-B exchange either.

GF 18-08 6/1-6/15. Interesting players in this one. All three heavy bombers are involved, and rumors are Misawa sent F-16s.

It also overlaps weapons school MEP, which I gather is renamed WSINT. It was likely 6/2 would have been JFEX, but no THUGS today.

I always wondered how the UAS from Nellis made it to Ft. Irwin. There is no contiguous controlled airspace. In theory, they would need an escort for "eyes" in the civilian airspace.
