This was the one that you saw, right? The day of the strikes it was Rivet Joint and a Global Hawk. They were in the area until about an hour or two before the strikes, before moving off south and clearing the airspace. It was RC-135V 64-14846, and RQ-4 10-2043.

Has to be an RQ-4 at FL54 and climbing just off the coast of Lebanon about 0400 local time

Its passing Beirut now.

Questions.......
Damascus is about 120 KM from Beirut and the Hawk appears to be off sore so i assume its out of SAR range of Syria? Perhaps they are looking at Hezbollah targets in Lebanon? Also do the circles mean they were killing time so they could be at a specific location at a specific time? How come the they left the ADS-B on? I checked the traffic int he area on FR24 and there is one aircraft inbound (DHL) and thats it.

They carry an ELINT/SIGINT package as well. They're monitoring the Russian exercise going on off Syria. It's on until the 26th.

Aussie C-17s have been heading in and out the last two days.

AN-124 came out of the Houston area, I think. He's at 29,000 over Nashville.

10-2043 is back up over the Med. He's going down along Israel and back up along Lebanon.

Caught an A-124 that appeared to come from Mexico and landed at Victorville on Friday. The Global Hawk seems to be a steady resident off the coast or Lebanon these days. One up now
