Congressional Black Caucus announced its endorsement for Hillary Clinton during the 2016 US election.

Trump and the repubs will devastate the "black communities" that were multi millionaires from the Obama admin.

The Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) has declined a proposed meeting with Donald Trump citing its conviction that the Republican president’s policies “will devastate black communities”, and the administration’s unresponsiveness to the CBC to date.
www.theguardian.com...

The caucus has written to Trump's admin 8 times and no one seem to give a crap what they say.

The caucus, which bills itself as the “conscience of the Congress” was founded in 1971 to represent black issues in US government, and has historically enjoyed the membership of virtually all black lawmakers. Of the 49 current members, 48 are Democrats.

Caucus chair Cedric Richmond noted in the letter eight times where the CBC had sent a letter outlining concerns to the Trump administration since 19 January, claiming that the body had not received a single substantive response back yet.

They told you (Trump) what the black community needs, but you won't listen.....Ha, ha ha. Of course he isn't going to listen to you. your group was formed in 1971 and has the situation gotten better, stayed the same or gotten worse. You suck.

“We took advantage of every opportunity to educate you on the needs of the black community and provide you with the information and solutions necessary to act on them in good faith …

“We have seen no evidence that your administration acted on our calls for action, and we have in fact witnessed steps that will affirmatively hurt black communities,” the letter read.

Well, Trump is really busy avoiding the witchhunters right now. Maybe when he can get something done he will listen to the concerns of these people. There are major issues that are more important to get fixed right now. Boy, these people sure do not have any patients. Can't these people see that there are comedians out who want to chop Trumps head off in this country.

They just don't wanna fix anything. As long as they keep people feeling like victims, they can get votes and money.

You realize that Trump and the CBC already met in March right? So how did the CBC not have a response since "19 January" when they met in March?

Sounds like a bunch of sensationalism to me.

If the black C has contacted his admin 8 times, that is a telling story that he has yet to respond.

Didn't Trump and his poppy go through numerous lawsuits about how TRUMP brand real estate wouldn't let black people rent from them?
And the Trumps were on the losing end...

But hey, he has a plan for "the inner cities"...at least he said so during his campaign.
He also said he had a top secret plan to take care of ISIS...

I know right, the president is busy hiding from all the loud noise. We should respect that.

Right I thought the same thing. One of the first groups trump met with was the cbc. I wonder if during that meeting trump promised some stuff that he has failed to deliver on. hhhmmmm

He responded by setting up a meeting in March and meeting with them. The article is misleading, making it sound as though it's been since January 19 that the CBC has been waiting with no response or talks with Trump. Like I said, they met in March already.

Yes, those are my thoughts as well. They met in March and Trump has yet to fulfill what they agreed to so they are refusing to meet with him now.

So Trump who some suggest would not rent to blacks is refusing to meet with a segregated group of backs that are accusing him of ruining black communities in the future.

You just can't write this stuff.

Would the 8 times they wrote him and not even a response be a driving reason to the no-go on a meeting?

I don't understand why we have a Congressional Black Caucus. How are we ever going to get together if there is still segregation in Congress?

People have to stop thinking about the color of people's skin - totally stop thinking about it, stop making it part of any discussion or decision, stop using it as an excuse, stop using it to claim privilege or discrimination, just stop it. That goes for everyone, no matter what color our skin is. That can start with Congress.

It's a free country, yes?

If they don't want to, they don't have to.
