mysterious steel balls at uluru

does any one know any thing about two identical steel balls, about 1 meter in diameter, and hollow found at uluru in the 1950's?
i searched on google and found nothing.
they were documented in a newspaper, but were taken to the us and never heard of again. if any one knows any links or stuff could they please post them

You could try maybe going to Rex Gilroy's site.

Maybe you could email him and ask, he seems to have the Mysterious Australia thing sown up.

It's a Big Red Rock in the
middle of Australia.
Notably famous also for the Azaria Chamberlain abduction(A Dingoe's Got My Baby)

The rock is also reported to have Mystical Powers
according to the local Aboriginals.

I think you will find them in Adelaide now known as the Rundle Mall Balls?

i had a look at the rundle mall balls and they look like they were made as a sculpture, not found at uluru and shifted
