Occam says hello and points to the severe weather that has been hammering the East Coast this afternoon.

I work in Center City Philadelphia and can tell you that weather has been impacting us for the past 2 hours.

This has to be a cyber attack on our communications infrastructure. # is heating up. Guarantee the intelligence agencies know what's going on, not that they will tell the public.

regarding weather: It's not just the east coast, and I rarely, rarely lose coverage because of a storm in Texas and we get some crazy ass storms.

Better get the Tinfoil on tight then!

Severe weather impacting the East Coast, check.
Cell phone issues on downmap located on East Coast, check.
Cyber attack going on!!!

I guess you didn't bother looking at all the maps. Your storm is probably contributing to your area, but you might want to take 20 seconds to look a little further.

But yes, I keep a tinfoil handy at all times =p

I looked at the Verizon down map and indicates the normal amount of issues in the continental US plus the expected issues on the East Coast due to the weather.

Good thing is the weather lightens up soon and we can go get some more tinfoil! =)

The sky is the limit as far as explanations. Cutting communications is probably the best thing an adversary could do to really jam up our country.

Judging by the links in the OP, there were no more than 300 or so complaints about service to one particular carrier.

Methinks this is not an issue and is being blown up to be an issue.
