Didn't Russia remove the guarantee that it wouldn't shoot down USA planes after we bombed that Syrian airfield?

So, let me get this straight. The US takes out a Syrian Airforce jet, and now RUSSIA is basically imposing a "No Fly Zone" on the US over Syria.

I'm wondering why the US shot that plane out of the sky in the first place.

The no fly zone already exists, it is called Syrian sovereignty. Russia is in Syria legally fighting ISIS and Al Qaeda, America is committing acts of war against Syria and Russia has an obligation to defend them.

It would be like Russia taking down Israeli jets attacking ISIS in Israel.

Here we will also see Trump's true colors, either he is with the Neo-cons or against them, America has no right to be attacking the Syrian army and it can lead to the next World War.

War - It's all opinion and guesses. Money say no "real" war and make money off arms sales as the local kill each other. Throw in our brilliant politicians and we get "real" war.

The US has no right in interfering in a war in Syria where the Assad government is trying to defeat ISIS and terror groups the US supports.

The US like a mangy dog holding on to a bone, just can’t accept a defeat in their fascist plot to destroy 7 Mideast countries that has been derailed by the Russian intervention in Syria to aid the Assad regime in the 7 year war in Syria.

Why does the US refuse to leave Syria alone? We all know they are bitter that Russia alone defeated ISIS NOT the US.

And that the US has been playing a double dirty game in the Syrian conflict by surreptitiously supporting terror groups and ISIS just to try to overthrow the legally elected government of Assad in Syria…. This cockeyed policy is all to favor the strategic interests of NOT the US but Israel.

Trump has given an unguided military force free reign to do what they want to do in terms of the strategic military situations in not only Syria but also Afghanistan….

This does not bode well for the US foreign policy. Trump, like Obama, has no independent strategic vision for the world. Both just adhere to the deep state war mongers agenda.

Nailed it, with regard to the legitimacy of the US presence and action in the region.

The US has no place there, was not invited, and has been treating the country as the same kind of an enemy as the terrorists are supposed to be.

But of course, the terrorists are western intelligence proxy agents anyway, even the ones who do not know it!

I don't think Trump has a choice
If he doesn't push for the pipeline then he won't get those important funds from the Qatar has deal
He can't make America great again

According to the news reports, the Syrian plane was dropping bombs on one of the rebel groups supported by the US (so a US ally). The US, through the "anti-conflict" channels set up for these purposes, informed the Russians that these were "friendlies" that the Syrian jet was engaging and asked them to back off.

They didn't, and they got whacked...

Do you have any idea who these rebel fighters the US were protecting?

Seems to be somewhat of a translation issue.

They are using the word "сопровождение" which would mean track (escort, accompany) not target.

And it's becoming far too obvious to the world outside of the US. Everyone knows Iran is next, and it continues. And there's no reason other than money. Destabilize and try to cash in. The military industrial complex.
I watch CNN far too much, but I see them referring to so many countries as enemies.
If only the people reporting the "news entertainment" could see how America is looking like.
They really shouldn't be in Syria, fighting forces that are also fighting ISIS

I hope you are wrong about that!

Given the complication of the middle east and everything that is going on with Qatar and Saudi, I would not be surprised to find out that they are playing those two countries against each other now that they have lost in Syria.

Both of these countries are armed to the teeth from past deals with the previous administration. Turkey is on the side of Saudi and no one really knows what the hell America is doing.

So tell me Vlad, you mad ???
Lets talk about all the Iraqi (Iranian) armor you wanta roll thru the El Tanf corridor.
Not this week. Not next week or the week after.

P.S. I hear your old buddy Dungeon Master Dmitri had a little accident.
The middle-east is a very dangerous place for the unskilled.

Trump should be praying to God now like that: "God give me sane reason please! I don't want to start ww3 ...or do I? Do You? Please help me to Think, Now!"

Trump will go in history as one of the least successfull US presidents, if not worse - the president who started and lost nuclear WW3. The time of thinking is NOW., not after the war starts and ends. It will end for less than 30 minutes, said Putin.

Whether Trump is neocon or not, whether he is a puppet or puppet-master, will mean very little after the nuclear war.

Is everyone stocked up on food for a buffer in case we get into a major war? I still need to get firewood cut to make sure I have enough to heat my house for the whole year if needed, I am not a year ahead like I usually am.

Hopefully this doesn't escalate, but with the recent increase of Russian sanctions in the mix, I am sure that there will be something happening soon.

Then there are two of us. A plane doesn't get shot out of the sky by accident. And, the Syrian jet was shot down in Syria, a sovereign nation. I think Assad is an evil bastard and hope Syrian leadership changes, but acts like this simply make him a more sympathetic figure to his people.
