Home health industry is always in need of workers. There's actually a worker shortage in my industry. Try finding a home health business near you. They'll get you trained up and working. You're in Florida so the need for such should be even greater there than in Ohio where I am.

HAHA! Not really but I'm a fast learner and eager to try new things! It was my favorite subject in HS and I tool it as an elective. Does that count? LOL! Thanks for the MASSIVE laugh AM!

No problem, MBlah, good luck in your search. I'm sure you land a job soon.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results. You need to change something. Jobs are plentiful around me, but I'm not where you are. Nursing jobs are plentiful all over the world. I know it would be tough, and hard work, but you could get a 2 year nursing degree and start from there. You seem like a strong smart young girl, so dig deep and find that extra grit it takes to make things happen.

CNA/NAC nursing positions always seem to be in demand. Where I am, though across the country, I've seen ads for $12.00 an hour.

Hope today goes well for you!

SOOOO whatever energy I put out after this rant and my Facebook one seemed to work!

I was beyond upset this morning at this whole process! BEYOND! Well I got three interviews this week with three different local credit unions! I had two phone calls and an email! I was dumbfounded!

I also had a very nice interview a couple hours ago AND of ALL things I got a job offer from the "observation" place aka the cash advance place. It's not what I want but I will take it because I NEED a job! I have spent MONTHS applying and interviewing and I was seriously about to break! Not sure what changed today but WOW, maybe it was the force as my friend said! I definitely was force choking people in my mind this morning, like everyone. I even had one place call and say my name wrong, good thing I asked who she was. Yup she was force choked majorly for almost messing up my chance for a job! That really irked me!

I will take th $10/hr cash advance job and still continue to get the banking job, it's what i like and am good at. I can move up more in a bank than a cash advance place plus much better pay and benefits, not to mention hours.

Anyway, thanks all who commented and suggested. Some of you should think before you type and see this is the RANT forum. It's where one goes to VENT frustration! I feel better venting here than my Facebook page!

First of all that requires schooling and I in no way want to be either one of those.

Thank you! Around here in Florida those jobs are a dime a dozen because we have so many elderly. Many people do the classes because it's short and you can find a job. I can't handle my own blood and fluids let alone someone elses. I am not one to work in any kind of medical field. LOL I cringe at the thought!

Customer service jobs are a dime a dozen, you really can't land one? I could get one tomorrow if I needed to. Granted, it's among the worst jobs in the world, but if you were making $15/hr with BOA, I'm guessing you were either a teller or a CSR

I don't know if someone has already suggested or not, I haven't enough time right now to read all replies to your op.

I suggest doing a second resume specifically to highlight different skills you may have and experience. If you are working at getting a job off of just one "professional" resume, and have past experience that more closely reflects the customer service skills, cashier, etc. type experience.... revamp your resume to include more about those jobs.

In other words: Target your resume to the job you are seeking. Whenever I have been on the job hunt, I have always used 2-3 different resumes.

Give your 4 year old a big hug & Keep on keeping on.... I wish you luck!

So, you worked for Bank Of America did you?

Welcome to the world you helped to shape by playing your part. Please don't do it again.

Karma is just so beautiful.

Hang in there Miss. Yours is a tough challenge.

Idk, what else to add. Perhaps networking with friends, or maybe Linked can help with leads.

Your financial experience brings to mind Casinos as an option to explore(depending on availability, though hopefully they are flexible). Short courses, is another. Having different levels of first aid, are usually an asset. Flagging too, depending on the kinds of motorists down south. Hmm, getting into sprinkler fitting?Trades stuff comes to mind because it's usually daytime hours, for the most part.

Good luck

Been that way for years. My first job was at a local Brookshire Brothers in 1994. I walked in, filled out an application, had an interview and was hired. Since, it has been a steady stream of online applications, no hard copies, interviews and "we'll call you backs." Been that way at least since 2000.

Fifty years ago, you could walk on to most jobs, certainly as a man who simply knew how to use a hammer. No more. It's just a long, steady stream of bull#. I feel your pain. Been there more times than I care to recount.

Congratulations, that's awesome you found something. That's a big weight off your shoulders knowing you can now meet you and your child's basic needs. Perseverance usually always pays off, although at times it can feel like it's all for not. I've been there many a times and know first hand that it can be more than frustrating. Keep your chin up and keep moving forwards and I think you'll be just fine.

If the attitude you display here comes through in the interview process, no one is going to hire you. Why should they? You've got attitude pouring out of your pores. That spells "bad hire' to anyone trying to fill a position. They are looking for people who do not cause more problems than they solve.

TYPICAL reply from YOU! Why don't you go kick god damn rocks! I am so sick of YOUR negative attitude on here over the years. You are MEAN.

Don't be ridiculous. Your reply was predictable. The fact is that I am the only one that has given you a CLUE about what your issue is. You have no job skills to speak of, amiright? It's not like we're talking a masters in chemical engineering here. So what have you got? Only two things, related: attitude and work ethic. Other than that you have nothing worthwhile to offer, and you're already imposing "conditions." You can't work nights. You can't do this. You can't do that. Every single one of your conditions REDUCES the number of jobs you can get. YOU made the choices that put you in your position. You're a single Mom. Well how did that happen? You need to take responsibility for your actions and your attitude. Because it's patently obvious that if you even show a HINT of how you portray yourself on ATS, you'll never get a job. I'm mean? The world is mean. Nobody owes you a job. As yourself: Who would hire you?
