Breaking: Russian yacht HIJACKED by North Korea!

Every nation including NK has a right to patrol and defend it's territorial waters.

If you go into NK water and get stopped for a check it's legitimate.

was the yacht hijacked or ARRESTED or boarded for infracting in NK waters...

It ain't that easy in the Sea of Japan! This area is hotly contested in terms of territorial waters.

Where exactly the Katalexa was is unclear and, given the incident seems to be resolved now, we are likely to never know.

If I had an op aboard a Russian or Chinese yacht,
In the middle of the night I would send it
into NPK waters just to see what happens in this scenario.

A while back a chinese train carrying aid / supplies / food entered North Korea to drop it off. North Korea, in addition to the contents of the train, seized the entire train itself and made the chinese staff walk back to China.

N. Korea has a sense of entitlement and doesnt seem to grasp the concept of not biting the hand that feeds you. I think N. K. has reached the point that China is now unable to control their "experiment".
