Pic upload problem, asking to activate microphone

I just tried to upload a pic from android firefox.

It wouldn't upload and a pop up permissions window asked for permission to activate the microphone.

I naturally denied it and can no longer upload pictures.

Does anyone know what this is about?

Is this just a firefox issue?

I've never used Firefox on Android, so I'm not familiar with how it handles permission requests. Maybe it requests storage and microphone permissions together? Bad design if it does, but that's the only thing I can think of. A website can't ask for device permissions by itself on Android.

Try chrome.

Yeah, this is odd, I don't get this issue on the pc.

I've started to notice firefox acting like google lately, trying to harvest cell phone numbers as well.

Confirmed, it is only on firefox for Android.
