It already is paid for by you. Medicare/medicaid.

If someone is diseased and in need of help, you would refuse because they may reproduce?

Everything boils down to money. Who will pay? Who is willing to pay? If drugs are free. If surgeries are free. Heck everyone would support universal healthcare. Currently, emergency is free, there is no case of people dying in the streets. But should drugs be free? I don't think it would be a good idea.

Personally, I support free emergency care. I do not support free care for people who are genetically vulnerable to diseases, because otherwise if they get saved, their proportion in society would increase and drive up the tax needed to save them.

Do people who are genetically vulnerable to disease breed at a higher rate than others or something?

No one is suggesting that medical be free.

U-healthcare is not free. There is a reason drugs in the UK are 2/3rds less than in the US.

The US is the #1 in cost, and number 37 in health outcomes. So if you have ever been to a Dr. in the US you are in fact a survivor. Perhaps even worthy of your natural selection.

At about the same rate, maybe less because of handicap or body pain. However, if saved, then over time their share in the population would increase.

Silly,

Define genetically vulnerable.

The solution should be genetic or stem cell research. If every disease can be fixed at the stage of embryo, then there would be no need for universal healthcare.

WHo pays to "fix" the DNA?

Or is that free?

They're contradicting themselves with that line of thought anyways...

They've already said someone immune can be born of someone who isn't and vice versa...

Now they're talking about an epidemic of genetic weaklings that do not exist in society outside of a family of inbreds.

I'm starting to think they're either very young, or a troll.

Because otherwise they would have died or not make it to reproductive age or not married. With universal healthcare they can be saved and reproduce.

Mutation is unpredictable. Strong can born from weak. Weak can born from strong. It is natural selection that keeps the strong and weeds out the weak, keeping the weak few and the strong many. Universal healthcare goes against nature and saves the weak using the money of the strong.

This is literally eugenics.

I do not support eugenics. Eugenics is a sick practice. In Canada in the past it was advocated. Murder is not acceptable, anywhere in the world, not by anyone.

Universal healthcare absolves the citizen of providing healthcare for their friends and families and others, leaving it to a government who sees human beings as statistics. With a slight of hand, these same people will say they care for others, but what they mean to say is they would rather pay a bit of their pay check so that they don't have to bother.

Are you suggesting that private insurance (privatized socialism) doesn't see the "customers" as stats?

Right, you are kidding yourself.

No. Nowhere did I mention that. Don't blame me for where your mind leads you.

It is natural selection...

Yeah so you keep saying...

And yet if NS were a real and tangible thing there would be no "weak"...
So your argument is invalid.

So,
A person with hemophilia should not receive any medical care?

This person would also be a drain on a private insurance company. Perhaps they should be singled out at birth and put out of their misery before they cost too much...???

These are what I would support. Free healthcare for the elderly. Free checkups. Free emergency care.
