This is either fake news or great news for trump.
Wapo cites FIVE anonymous sources. Seems excessive...but then again when you've lost all credibility you do dumb things to bolster your credibility. Not only that but Mueller would have a huge problem if leaks are this prevalent in his investigation. That's why I think it's fake news.

But if it's not, if this actually leaked, it opens doors for trump to properly defend himself against a Witch hunt. If Mueller is going down the road to Obstruction, comey will be a key witness which (after his testimony) is a huge conflict of interest. Mueller would have to recuse himself.

Now I'm not so naive as to think that a lefty would actually follow ethics rules and recuse himself. But even if he didn't recuse himself, it allows sessions to get involved as the matter is no longer about the campaign. Trump could also appoint a special investigator to look into the leaks coming out of Mueller's investigation.

This is a win-win for trump.

Ya know...I do believe you've made a spot on assessment of the situation and the perils facing the witch hunters.

The WAPO is nothing but liberal lies. Their reporter tweeted that the guy that shot up the Republicans could claim self defence for losing his health insurance, wtf is wrong with them peoople?

If this is true Trump can fire Mueller now, he can't be involved, there's a conflict of interest with him and Comey.

There are a few reasons that could be construed as conflict of interest.

Mueller was a mentor to Comey
Rosenstein hired Mueller which is odd because Rosenstein also worked under Mueller.

The two men’s working relationship can be traced back to at least December of 2003, when Comey joined Mueller in Washington after he became John Ashcroft’s deputy attorney general, according to a 2013 Washingtonian article about the two men’s long0standing relationship. “He and Mueller spent many hours together, developing a close partnership — and watching together the disarray in the government over how to respond to the unfolding war on terror,” Washingtonian notes. “They shared a horror at the poor quality information infiltrating the upper reaches of government.”

Also Comey replaced Mueller.

Apparently it's been going on since early May.

Former FBI Director James Comey testified last week that the president was not personally under investigation at the time of his firing on May 9. "Officials say that changed shortly after Comey's firing," the Post reports.

It's not hard to figure out, google it. There's obvious connections.
the whole point of a special counsel is to avoid conflicts of interest, or maybe you don't know that?

Isn't that what you folks are accusing the left and media of doing? What evidence do you have of this "BFF" thing between Mueller and Comey, and why it poses a potential conflict of interest.

When did Comey state that?
I'm getting a lot of I don't knows here.
Where did this info that Mueller is Comeys mentor come from and how even if that is true does that make a conflict of interest.
They ALL worked for the FBI. They all know each other. Washington is a small town.

And Trump can't get rid of Mueller . Rosenstein can but he has already said he won't without good cause.
