Bernie did that after he got whatever promises from Clinton he got. Since you seem to have forgotten, I'll remind you that before he kissed Clinton's ass, he told her it was her job to convince his supporters to vote for her after he dropped out. He didn't "put unity above himself" till he'd gotten private meetings with both Clinton and Obama.

All of the Bernie supporters were played..maybe that is why this guy was so pissed and was a catalyst. He already hated the 1% and the GOP. He is not alone either. There are MANY Bernie followers who realized, even after the emails showing collusion to defeat him, it was a show. A farce. He was supposed to be there, show a different side and when he left HIllary was supposed to take a few policies of his, which she did, and run with it.

Fact is Trump was not playing games or making deals he was simply destroying the crowd. People as so quick to call him a Cheeto leader but he beat everyone. We can see now that he was not Hillarys shill or the GOP do boy. He has given them all the finger since he announced and after he won he has offered MANY olive branches to work together. Instead, the DNC and GOP elected officials are still trying to srop him and this guy is not the last one we will see.

Those who want to divide the nation are using hate. Trayon Martin started the move to a 'new civil war' in America. Then 'hands up, don't shoot'. It started the great divide that led to, in my opinion, the culmination of racial hate with the shooting in Dallas of the police officers. The shutdown of Trump rallies with attacks and riots. In the end, just like how the MSM said Trump would not win a debate, a primary, Super Tuesday, the nominiation and eventually the presidency, it did not work. No amount of hate ahd rhetoric could stop US voters from choosing who they want.

Now, since the people cannot be scared. The police cannot be scared it is time to take it to the politicians. This was a direct assasination attempt on a sitting US senator. This should be a huge turning point to work together in the country but so much work has gone into causing division you have people on Social Media praising it. Why are they not alreay arrested? Because of free speech. Free Speech is what has gotten us to yesterday. Plays in parks killing the POTUS. Severed Heads. CAlls to bnlow up the White House.

I watched Bernie's speech. Chuck Schumer's, too. I heard Nancy Pelosi's comments. I watched Trump's press briefing and Ryan's speech to the House.

I commend each and every one of them.

I never supported Bernie in 2016. I felt his goals were too lofty and poorly thought out. I didn't like his apparent desire to change the dynamics of the United States to such a degree. But I also though his position on education had some merit worthy of discussion, and could see some reason in his healthcare ideals. I hope he pushes those to this administration, should the new Party of No calm down. And today, it appears they might.

Bernie called out McCain for doing the exact same thing in Arizona in 2011 as he did in DC in 2017. True. He should openly admit he was wrong to do so. Schumer has been 100% on board with the demonization of the Republican's, true. He should admit his error. But, I will not condemn any of them over the statements they made yesterday.

I know there will be many who will (OK, already have a few pages back) try to minimize Trump's heartfelt response to the shooting. Fine. I have no control over their opinions. But I do have control over what I think of them personally, and to be honest I have a hard time considering such continual demonization as much less than aiding and abetting. Their opinions may be legal, and they may well have their right to express them, but I have the right, as does every single person around them, to ignore them and thus squelch the hate.
