Riots usually don't get violent and kill anyone, but there is a reason if they do... paraphrasing here

Come on man your own words incriminate your type of thinking.
Anyway back to the subject matter.
There has been a lot of hate speech and violent messaging upheld by the left lately.

Late night, just awoke. Who is the shooter? What do we know?

5 shot... Scalise, one staffer and 3 law enforcement I believe.
No fatalities as the security detail managed to pin the shooter down as Congressmen took cover.
Some reports that the shooter was targeting Republicans.

Not much known about the shooter.

thanks

15-50 shots?

he must have been a bad shooter

Thank God he was.

The Monopolized State Media has violated the public trust placed in it.

What criminality and violations of law were involved in doing so, or allowing such to be done is up to the legal authorities concerned.

This is a situation created as a direct consequence of the propagandistic arm of the state politicizing mass hysteria so as to capitalize on it later with legislative direction in DC as well as influencing public sentiment on a national level.

The near Chicago riot staged during these elections should have set into gear what defensive measures we have in place for domestic terrorism. Who set it up, or allowed it to develop is something we should know and tell the people about.

The ability to put our leadership in check through inciting public unrest and discord should not be allowed to exist in parallel to sovereign national order.

I see it as a direct threat to our continued existence.

Not sure that's possible when firing a high powered assault rifle indiscriminately.
But who knows?

Seems unlikely. Someone doesn't hail off 50 bullets, hitting several people trying not to kill them.

Don't start.
If some crazy did this in the name of politics that's on him.
It has nothing at all to do with democrats or republicans.
It's a crazy person.
Please don't make a bad situation even worse by politicizing this.

Wow, Rand Paul was standing about 20 feet from where the shooter entered the field, and decided to go to the batting cage for one last round of practice. A few seconds later the shots rang out. He could be dead right now.

From reports I doubt it... unless he was a BRILLIANT shot.

...eye witness saying the shooter was calm, moving in a methodical way, crouching, taking cover, shooting. Nothing manic or crazed.

50 was just Paul's estimate. And I'm going to assume some of those 50 shots were returned fire from Scalise's security.

Every night and day on MSM, you have media pundits lying and and frenetically spewing hate against our President and Party.

You have celebrities holding up the bloody decapitated head of our President.

Nightly on TV, you have so-called comedians saying vulgar and violent things about our President, and telling people lies about Rep. motives and platform.

You have celebrities and others talking about burning down the White House.

This is a daily and nightly thing in the media. The hate against the winners of the last election has reached foaming-at-the-mouth anger for the losers.

just wondering just how this is any different than all the other presidents before trump???

I have said it many times on this board.....there is a mental psychosis taking hold of many on the far left and a thought disorder seems to be evolving right in front of our eyes, along with a deep hate that is becoming almost maniacal.

I think the "the liberals are mentally ill" bit has been around as ATS has been... ya know, back in the time when things were more peaceful the the wolves could actually live on the same planet as the sheep..

I just read your link from Washington Post. They interviewed one Rep who applied pressure to Scalise's CHEST wound?

I thought he was shot in the hip?

Can you imagine the hysteria if the shooting had been at the other practice field? And the shooter was wearing a Trump T-shirt.

Just speculation but from the eye witness I am listening to the shooter sounds like a professional. He was in a gun fight with multiple capital police and hit 3 of them.. the capital police were pinned down behind a black SUV.

.. "AK47 Type weapon" .. "curved magazine"... according to the same witness...

Don't you start with your deflecting either.
The reports are that the gunman asked if they were Republicans or Democrats on the field.
Then proceeded to fire on them after getting an answer.
If the reports are true, it's obvious that the gunman politicized it.
