BUT you couldn't do anything to change the outcome.. Like fate or whatever.

Would you still want to know?

I personally don't think I would. If nothing could be done differently, I think it would always be on my mind, taking all of the fun out of life.
But I could see some people needing/wanting to know.

How about you? Why/why not?

Anything that promises me that I have to live to see tomorrow is going to make my anxiety that much worse.........

I probably would so I could spend as much time with friends and family as possible, putting everything else on the back burner. It would also allow me to purchase a huge term life policy to take care of the family when I'm gone.

I wouldn't want to know.

It would be too difficult for me not to fixate on that date and it would likely ruin what time I had left.

It would be all I could think about, regardless of how far in the future it may be.

That would pose a paradoxical conundrum.

If you knew the exact date of your own death, that would essentially make you immortal until that time arrived. You could do anything without fear of killing yourself.

Personally -- I would not want to know the date of my own death. I figure that wherever I am at the time, It will find me.

EPIC PARTY the night before.

Giving you boss a middle finger and a "f# you" the day before.

....just think about it.

I'd have to know the circumstances leading up to it as well. For example, if I get in a car accident and am comatose for 3 years before death then I would want know when the car accident would happen.

Otherwise, just knowing the date of death leaves too many unknowns to act on it (such as spending or giving away all of your money right before death).

Another interesting point.
Perhaps even with special knowledge, there would never be enough.

I plan to be the cause. I don't want to die in a hospital bed. Eff the corporations. I don't want to give the healthcare cartel any more money than necessary!

I'd pass on the option as knowing the date would drive me nuts when the date was about to approach. It's bad enough that my wife died on a friend's birthday and I had a heart attack on that day 3 years later.

Now, would not knowing in an environment of people knowing, drive you crazy to the point of needing to know??

And if one could, those who did will do some pretty crazy stunts
Jumping out of a plane without a parachute.. or getting into a fight with Mike Tyson..
Because you know you wont die
