A coop is a safe place for beings to go.
A place that provides intermediate shelter from the environment. When the 'normal' accommodation have been eradicated.
As in a natural disaster, such as a in the aftermath of a tornado, a hurricane or a flooding.
I have often wondered where I would go.
Perhaps here is a safe space?

Where do we go when our lives are torn apart?
Under The Coop?

The only place I have to go is right here on ATS. Otherwise I'm stuck at home no matter what.

Only if covered in tinfoil.

It's no match for a bunker filled with tomato plants.

I go to family and friends. Not everyone has family or friends. Some don't have a coop. Appreciate your coop if you have one to hide under.

I love all your replies but I am too tired at the moment to answer all. RL is not friendly at the moment so I will just rest here under this coop, until I re-cooperate.

One of many 'coops'.

Looks around. Sees an inviting place with an old friend and makes herself at home. Oh, I brought pixies drinks!

I think I will just sit here in my coop, and wonder how the world turned upside down.
Perhaps I may gain a new perspective.

I welcome those who wish to sit and do as little as possible as we wait and see what happens 'outside'.
Please hang a picture or two. The walls are so bare.

In hindsight I am happy I 'made' this place. Here I can sit and do 'nothing' while what ever storm passes over.
So what does one do in the midst of tragedy and absolute confusion?
Tea, any one?

I don't know about anyone else, but I cry.

Tea, any one?

Tea would be lovely.

Under The Sky is a fair and magical place.
Aren't we all covered by our blue dome, where we may dream of trials and play?
I see one image on the wall, are there more?
Here I rest in peacefull slumber for now, abiding the storms.

Perhaps I should light a lamp so I can see what is going on in here and if it is safe to venture out side.

A tea party!!! How lovely. I will have a muffin or two and one cube of sugar, please.

I wonder, if one remains in the place one was forced, by circumstance to submit to, does it become so familiar, that one, out of fear of a recurrence, is reluctant to leave? Is that Stockholm syndrome?
Any Who. I like this Coop.

Ah yes, coops.

You know why chicken coops only have two doors?

If they had four, they would be chicken sedans.

Ha Ha, a chicken sedan.
I think this coop has multiple doors.
There are storm clouds above so I will stay here a little while longer.

I feel you and wish you the best.

Sometimes I like to just stand in the storm.

Hmmm persistent? How odd. In such an insignificant thread.

I have been in the in the eye of a storm once, our Captain handled it very well, and I used to go to the coast to challenge the wind.
I don't argue with terrestrial nor metaphysical 'weather'. All one can do is wait and observe.

I wouldn't say insignificant at all.

Nor am I being critical of you.

Just making conversation.

Too kind, but thank you.
And I must apologize, I have a way of coming of as an arrogant prick.
Hiding under here is comforting
