A special counsel was appointed over the Russia investigation, not Trump personally.

The other thread is down to only a couple of the usual lefties, who quite frankly are starting to sound delusional.

There was also a third thread started. Maybe they're looking for a "safe space".

Perhaps they do not want to get in the middle of your right wing circle jerk.

This hearing so far is not a bombshell against the Left that many of you are claiming. Both sides are taking a hit here, yet no one seems to be realizing that.

The tunnel-vision is strong here.

So Comey didint call for a special prosecutor for HIllary because he thought it would look bad, and he knew there was no crime.

But his job is not to be judge, so if he felt there was an appearance of unfairness because lynch didn't recuse herself, he had the obligation to call for this prosecutor.

So he was worried about the optics for dems, and yet he couldn't even tell the truth publicly that Trump wasn't under investigation.

So when it comes to optics, he has concerns when its hillary, and not for Trump.

And people wonder why he was fired.

It is peculiar for sure, I think it's going to take a few hours after the hearing to weave some spin articles that focus on 'Trump's a big meanie'.

I'm guessing that they are waiting for talking points from CNN MSNBC et al.

Very few seem to think for themselves, but there are exceptions and I'm anxiously awaiting their input.

There has not been a single punch landed on Trump here yet, apart from a personal opinion that Trump is mean from a guy he fired. If I have missed it, please let me know.

I do know Loretta Lynch has been accused of far more specific obstruction of justice and the MSM have taken a huge hit for a string of fake news.

I respect the fact that you are trying to see evidence before you make up your mind on these things.

However, you have said you lean towards accepting stories of possible collusion because it seems more credible.

Now that Comey has admitted the NYT lied in stories, and many other main stream outlets are wrong, will you start approaching their stories with more scrutiny.

There have been several punches landed.

In effect, Comey is throwing his cards on the table and telling congress to go for the tapes if they exist, which could possibly lead to calls for obstruction charges if what Comey says is true.
