ATTENTION KEELE STUDENTS AND ANYONE ELSE TURNED AWAY:
CALL 01782 742229. OR THE LOCAL PAPER (SENTINAL) ON 01782 864146.

URGENT URGENT URGENT Keele students are being turned away from polling stations in the Newcastle-under-Lyme area

Please SHARE this across social media - do it now.

From David McWilliam: VERY URGENT: I have been alerted to the fact that a great many Keele students are being turned away from polling stations in the Newcastle-under-Lyme area, even with polling cards.

I rang Newcastle Borough Council and they have informed me that the students may be late additions to the electoral register and thus not on the registers sent out to polling stations.

Can you please send out a message to our students informing them that if this is the case, they need to go back to the polling stations with their polling cards and ask to speak to the presiding officer.

They should tell them to ring the elections office to check that they are on the most up-to-date version. The presiding officer should have the number, but if not, it is 01782 742229.

If students who have been affected contact the local paper (The Sentinel) on 01782 864146 with their names and are willing to go on the record about their experiences, they will investigate.

If they are still being turned away, please ask them to email me with their name and their polling station at dsmcwilliam@googlemail.com. If they can remember when they registered and keep hold of their polling cards, that would be great. There needs to be a record of this.

UKIP getting panned tonight, but looks like a few are switching to Labour, which is surprising.

Not surprising, since Nige left UKIP have been a car crash and, most kippers knew that only a Tory majority would mean we left the EU rather than some underhanded "pretend we are out but stay in" deal that Labour would offer. There are a lot of kippers that just cant vote tory though. I found it terribly hard to put my x in that box.

close results there as far as wikipedia says so those few votes could make a difference
See what the local story is first so good if people can challenge it coz i'd be angry if someone tried turning me away today for some admin problem, wouldn't happen coz the cops would have kicked me out not the council staff.

Right now, I think its a Con majority, even slightly better than the current one, but it may not be enough for the Tory grandees who were hoping for 100 plus.

..and that is what is happening... we're not far from campaigns that spread propaganda that Facebook will be gone if the opposition gets in.

I totally expect " dirty tricks " here and there ; it doesn't surprise me if there was shadowy sh1te in crucial places .

Most voters are too polite and they would just grumble and maybe write a letter .

Kudos to you .

Devil is always hidden in details.

These elections are more crucial to Trump than us .
