It looks like this so-called "loyalty" that Trump expects is for Comey to tell the truth regarding any investigations against Trump, to help clear the "cloud", and not to drop any investigations as is implied by the media.

Seems that way... the media are reeling today.

This part I find strange. Comey say Trump say "I need loyalty. I expect loyalty." I don't say loyalty to Trump so it can be interpreted vaguely. Maybe loyalty to the US rather than to the Clintons?

Meanwhile CNN is refusing to allow these facts to slow down their fake news propaganda machine.

Comey wouldn't come out and say Trump was not under investigation because that would force him to retract the statement if things ever changed.

It's their policy to never confirm or deny an investigation.

I think it's reasonable to make an exception at the request of your own boss. The President can choose to declassify information, after all.

Comey was hiding behind FBI policy to work against Trump. Trump asked Comey to put an end to the BS and Comey refused because he felt like it.

Sounds like a good way to get fired.

CNN's Headline is: COMEY BOMBSHELL. It then goes on to say exactly what everybody already knows.

What bombshell are they talking about?

There was nothing to let go. Flynn was not under investigation.

Its being reported that Trump says he may live tweet the hearing tomrw. Must see tv. Trump may defend himself live.

I wouldn't be surprised if he shows up in person to the hearing. That would be epic.

Investigation for what? Flynn is not a Russian agent. If he were, Obama needs to be held responsible for putting a Russian agent as director of intelligence at the Pentagon.

Initially for undisclosed lobbying on behalf of Turkey. Later for undisclosed meetings with the Russian Ambassador, Sergey Kislyak.

If there was nothing to let go, why did Trump ask him to let it go?

CNN should change their name to TNC for Tabloid news channel

It reports ONLY on political scandals, sex scandals like the Cosby story, terror events, and catastrophes.

They sometimes report real news at 3 or 4 am.

I'll just throw this out there for everyone to ponder, now that we know what Trump said to Comey, could his firing of Comey been an easy way for him to clear the "cloud" over his head?

In his letter to Comey he said this: "While I greatly appreciate you informing me, on three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation..."

Comey wouldn't clear the air, so Trump did the only way he knew how.

Well it's not the exoneration some people seem to believe it is but it may not be the gotcha either.

I don't believe there will be any "gotcha" moments until the investigations are concluded are the it's all dropped, or charged start flying.

It's exactly what ABC News said it was yesterday. Just Trump being the man America voted for. No laws broken.

Comey was fired because he lost credibility,
he handled the Clinton Investigation poorly.
