Exactly! And that's my point...he tweeted both things. By everyone's admission, what he tweets are official Presidential statements. So we're left with few options:

Either he was -

• lying about the wiretapping and lying about the investigation
  
• truthful about the wiretapping and truthful about the investigation
  
• truthful about the wiretapping and lying about the investigation (which is your stance)
  
• lying about the wiretapping and truthful about the investigation

Or he just tweets what he thinks when it takes his fancy, without all the facts... probably more realistic.
The word 'lying' is getting somewhat overused I think - all around.
