Ah so it's more the general attitude/behaviour of the poster rather than a specific post.

That does surprise me though because there are members banned who I would never think of as disruptive or non productive towards these forums.

Not questioning your rulings, just surprised about some of them really.

I am however disappointed my thread was moved from chitchat to board questions, it was meant more for chitchat than an actual question, even though it has devolved into a Q&A and a very informative one at that.

By the way what's happened to SO recently haven't seen him say anything on here for ages did he leave us and sell up ? I saw Springer do a post the other day in one of the terror attack threads but haven't seen Overlord say anything for ages

I'm sitting in a shop, for who knows how long, because one of my trailer tires shot itself because it's too damn hot.

What else am I gonna do to entertain myself?

We'll bend over backwards to work with members and keep from banning them, but sometimes people just get too passionate about something, and off they go, and leave us no choice.

He moved to a new area and has been busy getting things situated at home and settled.

I understand, I'm just surprised is all as some of them seemed calm & collected and not at all ban worthy but I guess everybody has a breaking point in heated debate and it sure can get heated here.

When he gets back, can you get him to fix the reply and quote buttons so they work more than once in Firefox

Can't blame you then. I've taken a tazer before (long story), so have at it.

Anything I can do to help the community.

The only thing I've ever received from doing that is an explanation as to why my post/ or posts(as it's happened more than once in my years here lol) was removed. ATS mods are some awesome people and I've never had one bite my head off for asking.

Bahahaha! I rarely ever have a post removed. I think there were a few and when I did have one removed I was like...

I can see where new guys could bend the rules and their instinct is to carry on about rules in the thread.

IF you've been here long enough to be indoctrinated, it's a bit different. It's thought that you know about it.

When mods type "Do NOT reply to this post" in a thread...and they are asking for a return to civility, chill out, quit bickering, etc: we are asking members to not reply and further derail the thread.
The post is meant as a kind of PSA ...public service announcement to get the thread back on track.
